Was the recent attack on Herman Cains presidential campaign a professional hit job? Absolutely, says Herman Cain. And he says he knows just where to look for the guy who did it: At 815 Slaters Lane in Alexandria, Virginia, a low-slung former warehouse in the shadow of a coal plant.

Uh oh! Two of my coworkers have $150 on whether all 3 will be white or not. This fascinates them.
Agreed.
The LEFT has the most to gain from destroying Cain.
They do NOT want him to be the opponent to 0bama next year.
I live in Texas, I know Rick Perry and he is NOT a conservative.
No.
Perry is deficient in many ways, and I do not like him, but he is an excellent politician, and he would do something like this in a heartbeat.
So would Romney.
Shame on all of them.
Rick Perry is a Mormon who was affilliated with the National Restaurant Association and donated to Mitt Romeny? Who would have thunk it!
Sorry about the mess in my post. My cat did it.
Your spelling error while calling someone else inept and dumb is hilarious.Normally spelling/grammar errors get a break around here... but context, man, context.
I agree with thackney... time for a big LOL!
this smells more of Willard than Perry...it fits.
I don’t think that any of this is going to have a happy ending, except maybe for Obama.
It was only an alert banner saying 3rd woman to make complaint. Very vague.
Perry’s liberal upbringing is showing
The only part I don't like is this:
Cain told his strategy guy (the guy now working for Perry) about this in 2003. The article says Cain does not regret telling him because your strategy guy needs to know everything in order to do his job.
The article concludes with this:
While some pundits have faulted the Cain campaign for knowing about the story for days and failing to develop an adequate response, campaign officials say they were completely in the dark. The candidate and his senior staff were left to wrack their brains, searching for any remark or non-sexual gesture that might have given offense to one of women working for 150-person trade association more than a decade ago.
But if Cain told the strategy guy about it in 2003, surely he told Mark Block about it in 2011. So what's up with Cain and the campaign claiming they had to wrack their brains? Or are we talking about different incidents?
Time will tell, I'm sure.
Oh boy, I hope he’s sure of this! My nerves, my poor nerves.
I thought it was perry too. I don’t put anything past perry. Nothing. He is one of the most ruthless batiches in politics today. He will say anything and do anything to win, and even after he has won, he doesn’t stop. It’s like a perpetual vendetta.
Taking a bigger perspective I think this and other skirmishes are all designed to get conservatives/Republicans fighting (and it seems to be working).
“Divide and conquer.”
Fellow FReepers, advocate for your favorite candidate and question others’ negatives, but don’t get to fighting and don’t get divided.
The race is likely to narrow to two as primaries and caucuses force the also-rans out.
Right now it looks like Romney and Cain or Romney and Perry.
Perry has a desperate need to derail Cain.
Just wow. Maybe the Oct 27 tweet wasn’t so irrelevant after all.
If true, it sure would explain a lot.
