Democrats embrace an unlovely crowd
Charleston (WV) Daily Mail ^ | November 2, 2011 | Don Surber

DEMOCRATS are rallying behind the Occupy Wall Street protests. For many liberals, it is the 1960s all over again. Conservatives should kick back and enjoy the show. The Chicago convention riots in 1968 paved the way for the election of Richard Nixon.

Occupy is not your father’s Tea Party. Tea Party rallies drew larger crowds with one purpose: To stop bailouts and government spending. People attended the Tea Party rallies, and when it was over, they cleaned up and they went home. I do not recall anyone camping out for weeks on and I do not recall any arrests.

Occupy has drawn smaller crowds with myriad demands. They camp overnight illegally in parks as they railed against Wall Street in cities across the country. Police have had to arrest more than 1,000 Occupy protesters. John Nolte, editor-in-chief of Big Hollywood, chronicled 100 incidents of violence, vulgarity and criminality by the occupiers.

The offenses range from defecating on a police car to outright rape. Occupiers in Madison, Wis., lost their permits due to public masturbation. As for caring for others, Occupy cooks refused to feed what they called “the professional homeless.”

Heck the Dems created their situation.

Unions fight to keep professors and departments that teach useless foo foo disciplines at Colleges.

And their parents are paying for Barney Franks and the DNC’s vote buys.

Police have had to arrest more than 1,000 Occupy protesters.

I believe the number of arrests is more than double that. Probably pushing 3000 at this point.

I hope the Democrats embrace this thing totally, enthusiastically and publicly. I hope Democrat office holders and office seekers “march” with the mobs. I suppose the result could be the election of a Nixon(is Romney this cycle’s Nixon?) so there is a downside to it.

I do not recall any arrests.

Or rapes and dead bodies. Did have a leftist nutball try to crash our party last summer. That idiot now has an arrest record.

Can't wait for the big party to come to my neighborhood here in Tampa with the RNC. These Occupy this and that fools will put on a display of violence and childishness that will propel even more middle of the roaders to who ever the Repubs nominate.

And anyone they nominate (and I do mean anyone) Will get my cheerful vote as BO goes down the sewer where he belongs.
