October 31, 2011 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Girl Scouts of Colorado has announced that 7-year-old Bobby Montoya, who was initially turned away from a local Girl Scout chapter on the grounds that he is not a girl, will be allowed to join since he identifies as a girl.
Rachelle Trujillo, vice president of communications with Girl Scouts of Colorado, told CNSnews.com that any child who is living life as a girl is eligible for membership in the organization.
We have privacy rights that we are very respectful of with families, Trujillo said. We do not require proof of gender when a family wants their daughter to be a member of Girl Scouts.
Bobbys mother, Felisha Archuleta, says her son was humiliated when he was turned away by a Girl Scout leader earlier this month.
When the story became public, Girl Scouts of Colorado released a statement repudiating the troop leaders actions.
Our requests for support of transgender kids have grown, and Girl Scouts of Colorado is working to best support these children, their families and the volunteers who serve them, the statement said.
In this case, an associate delivering our program was not aware of our approach. She contacted her supervisor, who immediately began working with the family to get the child involved and supported in Girl Scouts.
Archuleta has since told ABC News that she is in contact with the organization and has been assured that the leader who rejected Bobby would be given sensitivity classes.
I believe [Bobby] was born in the wrong body, she said. “For birthdays, he asked for ponies. He had a princess birthday, and last year when he turned 7, he had a Rapunzel birthday. I have just basically supported him.”
She claimed that her son has believed he was a girl since he was two years old.
The news service reported that Bobby has started dressing in girl clothing in public after his clash with the girl scouts. According to Archuleta, in the past, he has mostly gone to school dressed as a boy to avoid teasing.
The 7-year-old appeared last week on the Denver-based news station 9news.com dressed in girl clothing.
I like brats, barbies, strawberry shortcake, he told the reporter. I like any girl stuff.
Ping!
Idiots!
Yeaaaah!!! We’re all soooooooooooooo much better off because of the gay agenda. A chicken in every pot and a gerbil in every crack.
Now will other parents withdraw their girls from the scout pack and the scout leader resign?
Time to buy a urinal for all girl scout troop meetings. Dumbasses.
Sounds to me like the little boy doesn’t have a male role model and his mother really wanted a little girl.
Poor kid’s friggin witch mother needs to be locked up.
Makes you wonder what his mother thinks she is doesn’t it?
Call the Girl Scout headquarters.
Tell them you will not support them with you daughters’ participation, nor with any purchase of their cookies.
Hit them in the wallet.
No more cookies for me!
If this isn’t child abuse I don’t know what is,,,,
Apparently no Dad around, so the toddler identifies with the present parent (a girl) and wants to be like her. No shock. Any normal parent would correct the boy ("No, you're a boy. Mommy's a girl. The sperm donor you've never met because I'm a freak and ran him away is a boy") and move on.
Maybe the Olympics has a good idea—have a gender test—look for a vagina or a penis, and when in doubt do a DNA test.
Nobody should be letting their kids join these leftwing organizations.
All of this started when Peter Brady felt like a girl and joined the Sunflower Girls on the Brady Bunch a show that mocked Suburban American families with Christian values.
I feel I was born in the wrong century. I often wear Victorian- and Renaissance-inspired clothes. Does this mean an over-50 club should ignore the lie written on my birth certificate and accept my membership?
Just wait until the little perv comes after one of the real Girl Scouts clutching his “Order of the Arrow” in his grubby mitts.
Not. One. Little. Bit.
There is a major difference between the Boy Scouts of America and the Girl Scouts of the USA.
