How do you “forget” a sexual harassment settlement?
To: LonelyCon
What part of “was not aware of a settlement” does anyone not understand. That was his original statement which could easily have been true.

Quick! Look under your bed. Perry, Romney, and Rove might be hiding there! It is Halloween you know!
To: Jeff Head
It's the Washington Post and they want to hang him by putting every one of his utterances in the worst possible light.
It's like what they did to Perry and the rock.
Just the same let us recognize the Post et al for the lying bastards that they are and not eat our own. Cain is a good guy as is Perry.

You know, I am Hermans age, and I can not remember what I had for breakfast yesterday. If so, why would you want him for President?
Want who for President?

Economic situation is so different today. When Reagan started out in 1980, national debt was small compared to GDP. So Reagan could afford to sign huge spending bills. Actually spending tripled during Reagan’s 8 years. And tax revenues doubled.
Today, as I am sure you are well aware, debt & deficits are out of sight. We need a man who will not make political accommodations. Cain has done it many times during his business career. He has made hard decisions. He knows first hand, how a main street business succeeds or fails. None of the others running has that depth of experience or record.

It sounds a lot more like Cain and the National Restaurant Association was held up by a couple of shrews looking for some easy money than he groped someone.
That sort of thing happened a lot in the '90s.

I just sent Herman another cash settlement today! In the memo portion of the check, write "Politico"

It doesn't bother me in the least. I remember how they tried to lynch Clarence Thomas...Can't have those leaving the plantation now can we....Anita Hill was just a lying shill for the NOW gang...
You can say to a woman, "you really look great in that dress" and to some dumb broad, instead of saying 'thanks' she thinks she is being harassed..

If his story is changing this fast that is not good.
If he did NOT think this 'situation' would ever come up during his run for the presidency, his judgment should be in question.
Every candidate should have sense enough to know every skeleton is going to be revealed -- especially if they gain #2 or #1 status.

Changing what he says hour to hour is just not good.
This isn't the first time. He "walks things back" a lot.
That's bad.
He's got to stop doing that.
He's killing himself.
This so-called allegation is a pile of stinking BS.
But he's turning it into anti-Cain gold. All by himself.

Agreed. My guess is that Cain's legal people let him know after his first interview that there had been a settlement and the details regarding it...which he had forgotten and some details he may have not been aware of.
Now his memory has been jogged and he has more info and is bringing it out. Does not seem like any effort to "hide" anything or hold anyhthing back.
I'm in the Cain camp at this point. They are going to only get worse in their attacks against the man.
