GOP Insiders Near Unanimous in Predicting Romney Nomination (Includes Full List of GOP Insiders)
National Journal ^

Posted on 10/28/2011 9:43:08 AM PDT by Windy City Conservative

The large Republican presidential field, along with the dramatic surges and collapses of several of its candidates, may ultimately be much ado about nothing. That, at least, is the conclusion of the Republican strategists surveyed in this week's National Journal Political Insiders Poll, who almost unanimously identified Mitt Romney as the most likely candidate to win the nomination. In the five times the GOP Insiders have been asked that question in 2011, Romney has never surrendered the top spot.

Not one vote has been cast, but a bunch of snotty, self-important, big government-humping elitist windbags have decreed a winner.

This report should go viral. It will give us “outsiders” yet another reason to vote for Cain: to stick it to the “GOP Insiders”.

There’s a reason they are trying to destroy Cain (and Gingrich and Perry too). They think it is Mitt’s turn.

You’re right, but Romney won’t be much better.
But he will be better.

“He’s not my first pick. But, ignoring him if he gets the nomination is a vote for Obama. We have to remember that, because a win for Obama will be devastating for the nation.”

A win for a RINO lie Romney is devastating for the nation. It will allow the Rats to tag Mitten’s failures a failure of Tea Party/ Conservative policies.

NO ROMNEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The RINO insider/Masters only have a vote each. The Tea Party/Conservative base need to coalesce around the BEST CONSERVATIVE candidate towards the end of the year.

F’ the Insiders.

“...We have to remember that, because a win for Obama will be devastating for the nation.”

At least Obama is stupid enough to try to get things done immediately - with the observed reactions.

RINOmney will simply use the old “throw the frog into cold water and heat slowly” routine.

He’s certainly more intelligent than the Cretin-in-Chief, and probably didn’t even have to fake his entry into higher education. However, he’s just as sleezy 0 but actually much more dangerous.

In short, RINOmney sux...big time.

Hate to say it, but I think Romney probably is going to win the nomination. The GOP always goes with the either the establishment guy, or the “next-in-line” guy. Ever since Nixon, the GOP has nominated the guy whose turn it is. And even Reagan, whose turn it was, had to fight the establishment off to win it.

Romney is BOTH the establishment guy, and the “next-in-line” guy. Double-whammy.

Also hate to say it, but I would prefer Romney to Obama. I believe 2012 is going to be a big GOP year, so we’ll have to just hope the GOP Congress holds President Romney accountable. If not, Sarah can primary him in 2016.

This is just a prediction. I truly hope that either Cain, Gingrich or dumb-ass Perry win the nomination, but it’s looking like Romney.

Fortunately, I live in CA, so I don’t have to vote for Romney in the general election if I don’t want to. The GOP has NO chance of winning CA.

If this cannot be changed, we are in for four more years of the one and no more country.

Too many right wingers, including this one, will not vote for Romney.

I’m wondering.

No votes have been cast in the Primary. IIRC, Romney is not polling in the lead, anywhere, except perhaps in some Blue states.

So where the heck do these clowns get off calling the race for GOP candidate?

Heck, we can save all the states some money and cancel the primaries.

Why even vote ?

I think they may be in for a suprise... but conservatives have to unite to defeat Mittens.

This could mean the end of the Republican party. It could break apart if Romney is nominated.

This is the way I look at it: Hitlery has almost 1000 FBI files, some of which I guaran-goddarn-tee you have Romney's name on them.

Cain is a late comer, and therefore, Hitlery couldn't have anything on him that's classified, altho I'm sure the dummycrats are going thru his garbage as we speak.

Hitlery is absolutely going to be on the ticket in 2012 . . . If she says she's not, she's a damn liar (well, we already knew that . . . she's already had extensive work done on her face and hair . . . Lord help us if her "face" falls off). If she doesn't overturn Obambi with some stolen information, I'll be very surprised.

Therefore, Romney would be hung out to dry by whatever the beast has on file. And, yes, this will undo the Republican Party for a long long time.

Obama has not been shy about skirting the constitution, while flipping the bird at Congress daring them to impeach.

Has Romney ever performed a similar maneuver?

Some people have worried that Romney would be overly influenced by the LDS church, which is supposedly his whole life. Would it were! Romney would never have gotten himself tangled up with the gay crowd.

I’ll take Romney over Obama any day of the week, but my long term goal is to stymie the influence of these GOP Insiders who live off our tax dollars, and get paid to push their agenda and message every day, while the rest of us go to work at our jobs, and then get shouted down by the GOP insiders when we support people like Herman Cain, Palin, Bachmann, etc. These insiders control most of the GOP media and the messages and lies that get repeated over and over again. They are a political machine.

I agree with you. I have said along that Romney will be put there to lose to Obama. this is the republican game plan. They will never in a million years go against Obama. It’s Romney’s turn to lose, and he is fully aware of his mission. If anybody thinks McCain was not a fall guy patsy, then I can not help them. If the republicans were serious about winning, they’d make sure that Cain was the one. Cain is the only chance we have... but he’ll be put in his place, so to speak.
