Evanovich's sisters say they know what their brother was doing was wrong, but they say the police should have handled the response because theyre trained to deal with crimes in progress. Johnita Beal says the witness should have dialed 911, "Police could have been easily contacted, easily, and my brother would have been behind bars, or something like that, but no, he's gone now."

Nuff said...end of story.
Dead Robbery Suspects Mom: My Son Was The Victim
many here called it a week ago...”he was a good person”
It’s probably better this way for all involved.
—...and my brother would have been behind bars, or something like that...—
I wonder what “something like that” would look like. More burglaries? Car jacking?
Two things:
1. The girls were not there so their opinions are meaningless.
2. The cops do not stop crime directly. They are secretaries with guns. They take notes afterward and try to find the guy who did it.
lol.
When you are being robbed (or raped, or murdered or whatever), it’s too late for cops.
Quote from that previous article.
“The question in this case is, did the good Samaritan act in self-defense when the punk pulled out his gun?” Freeman said. “We don’t know that yet.”
Let’s see. This guy had just robbed a woman at gun point and had pistol-whipped her. When the good Samaritan chased this guy down the perp pullled his gun and the good Samaritan sent him packing for the afterlife.
If the perp had gotten away who knows how many other people he would have robbed, pistol-whipped or killed!
This guy should be given a medal!
Seems the perp was armed!
When are these people going to wake up and realize there are consequences to your actions. If you're dumb enough to think you can rob someone, one of the potential consequences is that the person being robbed disagrees, as might people nearby who see the robbery in progress. He took the chance and lost and these two sisters need to assess their brother's actions, not the person who shot him.
She's right, which is why I'm glad the good Samaritan solved the problem permanently. The world is a better place without their brother.
Seems like justice was served, far swifter and more accurately than the Police Department could have done. Here's a hint to any other future robber - When an armed citizen with gun catches you committing a crime, and says "Freeze", I strongly suggest you do not have a 'confrontation'. I can think of no better way of saying "Shot me dead, right here, right now" than throwing attitude at a citizen who felt compelled to draw a weapon. I'd have shot him dead, without a question in my heart.
Seems to me if you rob someone at gunpoint, you’re playing God right there, and you never know but that someone might play God right back at you.
Probably the poor perp’s first pistol whipping buglary, or maybe his 10th, but still, it’s not like he was a professional. The useless sisters were working on him.
When the law-abiding, armed citizen cares to send only the very best to the worst of society!
“Seems like justice was served, far swifter and more accurately than the Police Department could have done.”
indeed. and, may I add, vastly more economically.
The proud father who set such a great example for this upstanding citizen...
