First Photo of Baby Giulia Bruni-Sarkozy Emerges as Carla Bruni Leaves Clinic

The world has been anxiously waiting for a glimpse of France's First Baby Bonjour Giulia, the newborn daughter of President Nicolas Sarkozy and his actress wife Carla Bruni-Sarkozy. However, Carla Bruni didn't really show her baby's face to the world as she left the maternity clinic, today.

Bruni left the Paris maternity clinic, Clinique de la Muette today, tightly holding her bundle of joy, and was helped into the black SUV by two guards. However, the proud father was not to be seen in the vicinity.

Apparently, Nicolas Sarkozy paid an afternoon visit at the maternity clinic, Oct. 21, two days ago. French President Sarkozy said on Thursday that he and first lady Carla Bruni were overjoyed at the birth of their daughter and said their pleasure was all the more intense because it was private. It is the first time a French president has had a child while in office.

Bruni said in a brief message on her Web site that she had been touched by the numerous messages of congratulations since their daughter's birth and announced that they had chosen the name Giulia.

Pierre Sarkozy and Jean Sarkozy, sons of Nicolas Sarkozy from his first wife, Marie-Dominique Culioli visited the baby at the clinic.

You might want to re-calculate that...

Good Lord! The woman is only 43. She could live 60 more years. How old is this revolting cat anyway? 15?

Certainly beautiful to see. Baby Giulia looks so tiny.

It is normal procedure for new mothers and babies to stay in the hospital or Clinic 5-7 days after childbirth.

ROFLMAO!

First pic reminds me of aunt Esther on Sanford & Son.

Second of health guru Moochelle juxtaposed to Carla Bruni is priceless.

Our oh so glam first traveler/hater/food guru--NOT!

I bet the baby is beautiful as well.

Shockingly, Moosehell Obama’s two babies turned out beautiful as well....they really are cuties. Whooda thunk it with that fat, angry moose of a mother.

That’s a pretty neat photo. Sure brings back the memories of carrying our first-born out of the hospital and all of the joy/fear/wonderment/ etc. that it brings.

I sure hope she didn’t forget what it was she was trying to remember with that string around her finger!

que magnifique! Best of blessings to the new baby and her intriguing mother who in her own misguided way is an exemplar for European motherhood
