But, there are a lot of Black people who are pissed at Obama. And, I’ve said for months that the Black turn-out for Obama in 2012 will not equal 2008. They will NOT clean out the Crack houses, the Jail houses and the HO houses like they did in ‘08. The new has worn off, the novelty is over. The “stay at home” voters who are angry and/or apathetic could be enough to turn the Election.

The 95% was 3 yrs ago - things have changed. One of my sons, a long hauler, talks with blacks across the country on a daily basis. He sees a sea change in blacks as to Obama from 3 yrs ago.

A large jet plane crashed on a farm in the middle of rural Kentucky.
Panic stricken, the local sheriff mobilized and descended on the farm in force.
By the time they got there, the aircraft was totally destroyed with only a burned hull left smoldering in a tree line that bordered the farm.
The sheriff and his men entered the smoking mess but could find no remains of anyone.
They spotted the farmer plowing a field not too far away as if nothing had happened.

They hurried over to the man's tractor.
"Hank," the sheriff yelled, panting and out of breath, "Did you see this terrible accident happen?"

"Yep. Sure did," the farmer mumbled unconcerned, cutting off the tractor's engine.

"Do you realize that is Air Force One, the airplane of the President of the United States?"

"Yep."

"Were there any survivors?"

"Nope. They's all kilt straight out," the farmer answered.
"I done buried them all myself. Took me most of the morning."

"President Obama is dead?" the sheriff asked.

"Well," the farmer grumbled, restarting his tractor.
"He kept a-saying he wasn't... But you know how bad that sumbitch lies......

Well, look at it from their point of view -- what if you were part of the white minority in Botswana and a guy who looks like you gets elected President.

Now, lets take it that this guy's political viewpoints differ from you.

even then, at some basic level you think "ok, someone who looks like me is there". But it takes a lot of guts and soul-searching for our fellow black conservatives to stand up and say "he has the same color skin as me, but beyond that we are NOT alike."

And that is where we in the GOP have a job to do -- to show to all our fellow Americans that the GOP doesn't have any blacks or whites or Asians in the party - we're color-blind. We only see the intrinsic worth of a person.
