Please go to the link to see a video interview of Steve Forbes' endorsement of Rick Perry for POTUS and hear a glimpse of what The Perry Plan offers and what that will mean to America.

I’m just having a hard time seeing Perry beat Obama - mr slick v mr tongue tied.
Needless to say - if Perry somehow wins the nomination then he has my vote.
“We’re FreeRepublic, we’re supposed to be better than that”
We’re also not supposed to support liberals’ illegal immigration policies, but there are a buttload of FReepers who do. Have you given them your “we’re better than that” sermon? Oh, wait, of course you haven’t! Because you’re one of them!
So, if I took the comment out of context, then tell me, did Perry say he supported the open border policy or not????
Undocumented graduates of Texas High Schools who meet the 3 year residency requirement and apply for citizenship....would pay what a legal resident of Texas pays.
My TX friends tell me it was pushed by the Legislature and both Houses passed it ...one unanimous & the other with 4 dissenting votes. As for in state tuition it is a STATE issue to be decided by State legislatures and in the case of Texas the measure passed overwhelmingly.
So it was veto proof and he signed it because Texans wanted it! Nine other states also allow similar resident tuition to illegals.
The in-state tuition for UT is very hefty so most illegals go to Community Colleges. TX is very Hispanic....about 40%. These students are 1% of the college population, about 16,000 and are not preventing a legal Texan from attending.
Perry is on record opposing the federal DREAM Act. And Perry has pumped over a half billion dollars of Texas tax payer money combating a Federal problem, illegal immigration. He has put both the national guard and Texas Rangers on the border.
Perry also joined Arizona in its lawsuit against the Federal government on their Illegal Imigration lae.

I didn’t go to kindergarten. I was homeschooled.
Texas did not “have to” provide subsidized college education to criminals! The Feds did not force them to do that. Texas is probably done for at this point. They are a decade or so behind CA, that’s all. The Hispanic population has grown to the point that the Pubbie party in TX figures they can only survive by peeling away a small minority of the Hispanic vote. Some of us do not want this disease of pandering to the Hispanic invaders to get established in the White House by a so-called “conservative” “Republican” imposter, that’s all.
Extra Extra bonus question: Which of those men thought pro-abortion, pro-gay, anti-gun cross-dressing liberal freak Rudy Giuliani was the “most Reagan like” in 2008?
Ignoring your own shortcomings is a flaw best addressed by your mirror.
Sarah Palin endorsed Rick Perry for POTUS? When? In fact, she made a disparaging comment about “career politicians” which would seem to be aimed mainly at Perry.
Well, here you go then...

Quoting the full quote changes nothing. He never recanted! He supported the open border policy under certain conditions. Do YOU support open borders under those conditions???
screaming “you’re wrong” “you’re wrong” over and over doesn’t prove someone wrong.
Did Sarah endorse Rick after he endorsed Rudy? This endorsement stuff is hard to keep up with.
Thank You! We’re never too old to learn!
LOL! There you go again!
While this is not the topic at hand, since you did mention this subject, I will take one moment to make sure you have this info for use down the road (hopefully on a thread that deals with higher education issues and reform).
Any student receiving the Texas in-state tuition rate will pay a Texas college or university somewhere in the range of $1,180.00 per student-per year to $30,880.00 per student-per year.
That means that any student going to college in Texas at the in-state rate would pay the tuition rate in that range, depending on what college or university they were attending.
Also, Texas grants out-of-state students from anywhere in the United States the same in-state tuition rate if they live in Texas for the same period of time, three years, regardless of what U.S. State their parents claim as their residence. Children of military members on active duty in Texas are also granted the in-state rate as a courtesy to our American service members.
See in-state rates paid for by students going to Texas colleges and universities here:

Other than that info, please remember, even when someone else does not, that we are on the verge of exciting financial and economic reform that will make America that shining star upon the hill!
Stay focused and stand firm with us conservatives who are not fighting against ourselves but fighting to get Obama out of the White House and to get America back on track!
Why the personal attacks? THAT is certainly not appropriate for FR....(aren’t you the police of what is FR appropriate?)
Please grow up and if my stance on the issue is flawed, please point it out, otherwise buzz off...
As I was getting that link for you, showing Governor Perry had signed the “Cut, Cap, and Balance” Pledge, I happened to get curious when I saw a list of “prominent citizens” on there, and low and behold was Mark Levin.
Cool, yes? :)
But I must ask...did you really think that was a defense of La Raza Rick's endorsement of pro-abortion, pro-gay, anti-gun cross-dressing liberal freak Rudy Giuliani? If so you're delusional. Perry's endorsement of Giuliani, while overlooking men who were far more conservative, has nothing to do with Sarah Palin. It's another case that highlights Perry's lack of judgement and/or liberal leanings and tells me he has no business in the White House.
You’re a funny one, that’s for sure.
