More women marrying much older men for added security

Young men in Japan facing difficulties landing full-time jobs in these tough economic times are also struggling to find women to marry.
Single women say they prefer older men for marriage because they are more mature, are confident in making decisions?and offer financial security.
Recent celebrity marriages involving much younger spouses have been in the news. But a small party one Friday evening in Tokyo's Ginza district for 10 people seeking marriage partners show the trend is spreading among ordinary Japanese.
The five women who attended were between 22 and 28 while the five men were between 35 and 48.
The age difference was obvious. The women wore miniskirts and had on fake eyelashes that clearly showed off their youth. The men wore attire that showed they put some thought into their choices.
One of the participants, Yumika Masuko, a 24-year-old dance instructor, said the men she knew who were of the same age appeared "childish" and not marriage material.

We older men are often not only more financially stable but emotionally stable. There are very few young men who would qualify as ‘a man in full’. And a man in full knows how to appreciate a Lady and love a woman’s company.
“Let me see if I understand you.”
You don’t.
“Are you saying that the men in power have done all these erroneous things simply because they imagine that, in some way, it might get them consequence-free sex? And yet, that is *still* womens responsibility?”
Insofar as women provide “consequence-free” sex in return for supporting feminism, it is. However, let me ask you this:
How many women were in congress or on the bench when the 19th Amendment was ratified in 1920?
How can you deny the influence of mothers over sons and wives over husbands after that?
Women have exerted vast influence all through history.
They teach their children, arm-twist their husbands, and blackmail suitors.
Now that they have achieved political power, they also bullyrag, bludgeon, and intimidate men into agreeing with them—or into pretending to agree and refraining from opposing them.

Sorry for the multiple posts. I don’t know what is causing that.
Probably a woman.
I get the impression that you strongly believe what you're typing, but honestly, all I hear is Adam.
I can see how yours would be a psychologically useful perspective for some, but I'm happy with one where each person is responsible for his or her own decisions and actions.
As are older women more emotionally stable—and able to appreciate a man’s company.
“I can see how yours would be a psychologically useful perspective for some”
Thanks for the psychoanalysis, doc. You are a psychiatrist, right?
“but I’m happy with one”
Opinions that one is happy with are rarely correct.
“where each person is responsible for his or her own decisions and actions.”
a. There is nothing in what I have said that absolves people of personal responsibility.
b. No one lives in a vacuum. We all believe things we learned so long ago that we have forgotten that we heard them.
c. What I have posted is not a “perspective.” It is history.
What *I* do when someone tells me I have history wrong is go research the matter to see if I am in fact wrong.
What do you do?
Indeed, going back to the Book of Genesis, one can find histories in which a man or men says, “It’s the women’s fault!” This is irrelevant to the accuracy or inaccuracy of such claims.
End of conversation, at least on my end. Have a nice day.
“End of conversation”
There was no conversation. You never gave the slightest consideration to anything I said. Even now you’re arguing with things I didn’t say.
I might as well have been talking to a brick wall.
