More women marrying much older men for added security

Young men in Japan facing difficulties landing full-time jobs in these tough economic times are also struggling to find women to marry.
Single women say they prefer older men for marriage because they are more mature, are confident in making decisions?and offer financial security.
Recent celebrity marriages involving much younger spouses have been in the news. But a small party one Friday evening in Tokyo's Ginza district for 10 people seeking marriage partners show the trend is spreading among ordinary Japanese.
The five women who attended were between 22 and 28 while the five men were between 35 and 48.
The age difference was obvious. The women wore miniskirts and had on fake eyelashes that clearly showed off their youth. The men wore attire that showed they put some thought into their choices.
One of the participants, Yumika Masuko, a 24-year-old dance instructor, said the men she knew who were of the same age appeared "childish" and not marriage material.

Wouldn't fake eyelashes indicate that she's not a spring chicken any more, or are they a high-schoolers' fashion statement?
I think the US will be at this same point in about ten years. If the young men are unemployed and unemployable, the young women are not going to wait around forever for them to get their acts together.
What passes as high-schoolers' fashion often turns out to be mainstream adult fashion in Asia. You will be surprise to see how many women in 20's or even early 30's try desperately to be a cutsie.

So many younger J-men bucking the "salaryman" career path of ther fathers, and instead worrying about their looks, fashion, and feelings: whimps, or what Japan has dubbed "herbivores."

One dingbat in Jacksonville has a better idea. She went out and had a fling with some dirtbag and then they tried to extort 50K from her hubby in a fake kidnapping caper. Found guilty and sentenced to probabtion for many years she is now free as a bird with a 10K a month divorce settlement.
I actually had to reread the article yesterday to make sure I got it right, yup, tried to steal money from her husband, who is pretty well off, and then files for divorce and gets a 10K a month settlement. I told my wife, I now see why some guys go the 9mm route rather than going to a rigged against them court system.

In general, women tend to marry men that are older. Also, an older man with a younger wife is more likely to be satisified. Which means he won’t be on the hunt for an even younger woman.
