_____________

As most of you know there was some confusion as to Cain’s answer last night in the Piers Morgan interview on abortion. Here is Cain’s statement:

Dear Friends,

The abortion issue is very serious. I believe strongly that this is true, and I believe that you do too.

Because the news media loves to make mountains out of mole hills, I want to be very clear about where I stand on abortion:

I am 100% pro-life, period.

Let me explain. In an interview yesterday with Piers Morgan on CNN, I was asked questions about abortion policy and the role of the President.

If you listen to the line of questioning, it is clear that Mr. Morgan was asking if I, as president, would simply “order” people to not seek an abortion.

My answer was focused on the role of the President. The President has no constitutional authority to order any such action by anyone. That was the point I was trying to convey.

As to my political view on abortion...again, I am pro-life. End of story.

As President, I will appoint judges who understand the original intent of the Constitution. Judges who are committed to the rule of law know that the Constitution contains no right to take the life of unborn children.

I will oppose government funding of abortion. I will veto any legislation that contains funds for Planned Parenthood. I will do everything that a President can do, consistent with his constitutional role, to advance the culture of life.

Friends, please know that I appreciate all of your support. Together, we will put America back on the right track.

Sincerely,

Herman Cain

It’s going to be fun watching the socialist libtards try to spin it as racist to vote for Cain. And Cain is black. Zero is only half black. I’m going to enjoy that.

Well, that's a good start, but a 100% pay cut would be better.

The last time this system worked, it was part-time and voluntary.

This idea, I think, is kind of symbolic.

I’ve lived in DC a long time. Staffers are paid starvation wages. The country is run by 20-somethings with low wages.

Congressmen don’t make a lot. Federal employees, however, are cradle-to-grave comfortable.

It’s the perks related to power that makes them well-off. But salaries?

Glenn Reynolds’ idea is better — if they become lobbyists, 50% of their salaries will be taxed.

I wonder why no one asks Romney why he lives in NH. My guess is that he crapped up Mass and left for new pastures. Romney spouts what a great job he did as governor but moves to NH, I assume to get away from the high taxes, Romneycare, and other damage he did to the state.

Propose ending retirement too, and get their own health insurance. A deductible IRA just like the rest of us. Take the $$$ out of it, don’t let it become a career.

The problem is this: under the 27th amendment, congress can't change its own pay immediately. It would not take effect until the next elected congress.

The 27th doesn't mention presidential compensation but I imagine there's something similar in federal law where it would not take effect without an intervening election.

I’m concerned about how Herman Cain wins on foreign aid/foreign affair issues and on the issue of affirmative action. There’s a debate coming soon that’s, just, focusing on foreign aid/foreign affair issues, and Herman needs to do very well in response to foreign aid/foreign affair issues. The MSM could, also, continue to attempt to make Herman look very bad on the issue of affirmative action, and the MSM has, already, tried to make Herman look bad in his responses to the possible hiring of Moslems/those of the Islamic faith in a Cain administration. The MSM wants to “trip up” Herman Cain very badly!

How about a full effort in finding each and every penny of waste, fraud, and abuse, from each and every department of government and at each and every level of government? Then, how about showing the complete results to the general public?-No excuses, and no exceptions! I would be very surprised if, even, as one example, the Department of Defense doesn’t have a single penny of waste, fraud, and/or abuses in it somewhere, and dittos to the rest of the U.S. government all the way down to its most local level.

The more that I think about Cain, he seems like he could be the next Reagan - a major difference is he’d be a black Reagan. To those of us who are truly colorblind his skin color is of no consequence.

And the next Reagan CAN ONLY COME FROM THE BLACK SIDE OF THE FENCE – given our society’s bigoted prejudice against “white males”

Even stupid people will at least listen to Cain about capitalism because he’s black, but if Cain were white, their minds would be slammed shut, for they are true racists. They must hate themselves.

So Cain is the conservative Trojan Horse who just might have a chance to unseat this crazy socialist cancer ravaging its host organism (the USA).

He also needs to make the govt. subject to the same laws that the rest of the country must honor. For example, when Obamacare passed, Congress would be under Obamacare. No more cadillac plan for them. Federal workers, except for the military, should not have better health insurance and pensions than the average citizen.
