Hugo Chavez calls Muammar Gaddafi's death an 'outrage'

VENEZUELAN President Hugo Chavez expressed anger over the death of Muammar Gaddafi, calling it an "outrage" and saying the ousted Libyan strongman was a "martyr".

"Sadly the death of Gaddafi has been confirmed," said Chavez, who had just returned to Venezuela from cancer treatment in Cuba.

"They assassinated him. It is another outrage," the Venezuelan leader told reporters in the town of La Grita.

"We shall remember Gaddafi our whole lives as a great fighter, a revolutionary and a martyr," he said.

Chavez had defended Gaddafi since the start of the uprising against the Libyan leader's regime in February, and accused NATO of using the conflict to gain control over Libya's oil.

"The saddest thing is that in its quest to dominate the world, the empire and its allies are setting it on fire," Chavez said, referring to the US by his preferred nickname.

"Sadly the death of Gaddafi has been confirmed," said Chavez, and if I weren't saved by the grace of prostate cancer, I would also be slaughtered by my countrymen.

Hmmmmm...that’s funny...Chavez is all for Obama’s Occupy mobs here in the US.....(eye roll). The marxists and dems are starting to turn on each other and I am starting to get the feeling that maybe Obama is the RNC’s manchurian candidate...after all everything he touches turns to crap here and abroad proving once again to the American people why democrats cannot be trusted to be in charge of anything...lol!

The drive-by media is so "bubbly" over this, they "plumb forgot" to ask the crooner.

Is this a dead man talking?
I guess the recent rumors of his death weren’t true.

Chaves needs to go to Libya and tell them in person.

I figured he would have had a fit by now especially after that radio tirade he got on against The One a few months back...

Chavez ought to sleep with one eye open, because if the Grim Reaper doesn’t get him first, an assassin’s bullet might get him next. I’m sure Gaddafi’s nasty demise has rattled Hugo’s cage considerably. Hugo is already under a death sentence as it is, and now he won’t be able to sleep well either, knowing he could be next.

But the question is: why is the U.S. interfering in the events of another country?

The tribes of Libya have been fighting for centuries. Why should we take sides?

And was does Obama always seem to side with the Muslim Brotherhood?

Gaddafi’s victims deserved a trial. He was murdered. Obama rejoiced. This president has once again disgraced the nation.

Not that anyone cares but this was day 215 of the “days not weeks” “responsibility to protect” “no fly zone” in violation of the War Powers act.

Is there any way that we can convince Obama that Chavez has also been committing atrocities against his own people? Perhaps then, Chavez will have to find a sewer to hide in, like his buddy Kadafi.

If he has prostate cancer, it has to be the fastest-metastasizing prostate cancer in the history of recorded oncology. The aggressive treatment he has received is extremely atypical for prostate cancer. While I’m far from an expert, I would guess that his affliction is intestinal or testicular.
