When the Christian men that I know get together, they call each other “brother” all the time.
At BJ’s yesterday a guy checks you stuff when leaving and he always say’s “have a blessed day”
This time I said it to him and he turned to me and said “Amen brother”
I have a necklace cross and he is black and I ma white, Is he racist too?

if you live in the South and hang around evangalical christian, this is a common term to call each other,black white, yellow, red or brown.. Morons in media don’t get it

Brother Cain is an Associate Baptist Minister ~ Perry is probably the only guy up there who knows enough about Baptists to know that ~ fur shur Romney wouldn’t know. I think some folks think they are not allowed to study about other religions.

That would be my guess. Here in the south, fellow church-goers, etc., are very often addressed as “Brother” or “Sister”. That’s how prayer requests are listed in church bulletins. It’s a south thing, and not surprising.
Cain is a Baptist Minister. Baptist Ministers are commonly called Brother.
