Same here. Was that an inside joke, ie, maybe Rush got a LOT of e-mails complaining about the awful Mark Davis recently substituting for Rush? Or was it a tease, so that when listeners heard Mark Steyn's voice, we felt relieved, and not so ticked off that Rush is taking yet another day off today?

You might have been right a month ago. But Occupy whatever is slowly sinking the regime's already leaky ship.

Zero got mega bucks from Wall Street last time. This time he will still get some but our side will probably get a lot more. Occupy whatever does not sit well with anyone who can walk and chew gum at the same time.

There are some pretty slick guys on the street,rumors are that they are not into the occupy BS.

Today is a rare day that I can listen for the full three hours, and - sure enough - Rush is out.

Same here, this is the first weekday I've been off from work in months and months and months. I was so looking forward to listening to a full 3 hours of Rush.

Yeah, I’m fixin’ to turn him on to see what is happening today. I woke up with the start of a cold. I hope I am catching it in time. I may send someone out for medicinal ice cream later on.

Hey! Yesterday a friend invited hubby and me (and my oldest daughter, too) to a private reception and a dinner on the 29th for Herman Cain. Hubby and daughter can’t make it as they’ll be working a concession stand at the Ole Miss game.

But I can make it! It is being held at a nice hotel and the tickets are a bit pricey (at least to me). I said that because I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO WEAR. HELP!

The biggest problem with the various plans, be it 9-9-9,fair tax or the others is that they are only as good as the potus and Congress that we have.

Any plan can be gutted and destroyed and then screwed up royally by K-Street depending on who runs congress and the WH.

That's why the Tea Party Pats are so important. With them in Congress we have a future for the country. Without them; not so much.

Hey the guy just got married to a hot blonde!! I would be taking off as well,guys are only human.....what good is a billion bucks if you can’t spend it once in a while.?

Oh gimme a break. Rush's radio show is HOW he made - and continues to make - his billions.

I don't fault Rush for taking vacations - in fact, I'd rather he take slightly longer vacations in one big chunk, if that helps.

I like to know in advance when he will be out so I can plan accordingly. ie, I will NOT listen to Mark Davis anymore, under any circumstances. It's these numerous once-a-week days off, with no warning until the last second of the previous show (I can't always listen to the last hour) that really ticks me off. And although Rush still has some fabulous rants, I don't think his heart is "in it" like it used to be... he seems a bit distanced and distracted at times IMO.

A couple of people have posted examples of 9-9-9 writen in crayons, maybe you should look them up. One said he was writing a hurry up book, titled 9-9-9 for dummy’s .

Because Cain can’t defend 9-9-9 in a coherent way. He couldn’t explain how it’s not a value added tax. He’s been so vague about the details I’m not sure he completely understands it. I thought his vagueness was a strategy he was saving for an 0bama debate but now it’s unclear if it’s even actuarially plausible. At least to me it isn’t.

Rush said something about testing new flavors for his wife's line of teas yesterday. I don't know if that's why he's out today, though...
