Mark Steyn in for Rush
I'm sure your black suit dress will be just fine. Check to see what your friend is wearing! :-)
Not everyone is GE.
If we got 9 9 9, GE would pay 9 percent, period.
I think the big problem with the plan is that everyone now has to participate in paying taxes instead of just 1/2 of the country. The crybabies don’t like that.
lol......ditto to McLettuce.....got a lotta miles callin John by his sound bites
Even if depreciation deductions take place, 9% would still be paid on the profit.
Now perhaps I misunderstood what he said, or perhaps he said it wrong of course.
Mark Levin has him pegged - Ru Paul.
You guys gotta cut Hannity some slack.I would not attempt what he does! Three hours of live radio with a 15 million plus audience and then an hour of live tv1,That’s a killer. His opening monologue at 3:00pm Eastern is usually pretty good radio.
I think The People's Republik of Connecticut is the new USSR. Seriously. This state is as liberal as San Francisco and the state of Vermont combined. This is NOT the once-great state I grew up in.
My husband and I have recently taken a few trips in the South (between Virginia and Florida) and have been scouting out places to live "someday", but we can't get out of CT any time soon, unfortunately...
You'll notice by my tagline that I'm voting for Cain in the GOP primary. My vote - as always - will be wasted. The few Republicans in CT will vote for Romney overwhelmingly, and Obama will get CT's 7 electoral votes in the general election. Mark my words. CT is a deep, deep Blue State.
not really Boss......sure the details matter but the real discussion is the f’in tax code as we speak....Noot complimented Cain for gettin in the mix w/ serious issues
Cain made it crystal clear w/ his apples and oranges that
this 999 effort is NOT a plus plus on top of the existin code
any news on the wife’s blood tests ?
...Similar to this verbal duel? "Pyne insulted Zappa by saying, "So I guess your long hair makes you a woman." Zappa replied, "So I guess your wooden leg makes you a table."...
Every alternative to the current IRS enforced tax code is subject to the ,” but it will be raised” argument.
So here we stay.
Forever.
I do too. Without Perry's brutal attacks on Romney - today everyone would be talking about Romney's "polished" performance in the debate last night. I appreciate Perry's willingness to get down and dirty in the fight - that's what we're going to need. None of this John McCain $hit about how "my friend" would be a great president.
Go Perry!!!
didn’t say I wanna shoot him but he damn well better bait his own hook
and his great great great panel sucks everglades water
And for the record, the booing that was going on was for Romney, not Perry.
government will get its money - its just a question of how - and ultimately its people that pay
i am a fan of simple - the least number of bureaucraps is high on my list of desirables too - but ANY of it will require some number of brueaucraps - call it the irs or blueberries, the function would be the same - that function will never go away
my first choice would be a flat sales tax - no prebate/rebate crap - tax it all - food - houses - if you buy it, its taxed - figure the rate out and do it
but levin says that would require repeal of the 16th amendment - which is NO SIMPLE MATTER and would take years
so my plan b is a flat personal income tax - zero deductions - no progressive brackets - no earned income tax credits - no nothing - rich, poor or methodist - everyone is taxed on all income at the flat rate - no mortgage deductions - no medical expense deductions - just a flat simple rate
no ‘gas tax’ - no social security tax - it all goes into the same pot anyway - no congress rewarding loopholes - you have a kid? God bless you but no deduction
and i’d probably make everyone send in a check - no employers withholding it
Still... Sen. McLettuce is better than my two US Senators: Sen. Lieberman (who is viewed as a CONSERVATIVE in CT!) and the horrific Sen. Richard Blumenthal.
Lieberman is retiring at the end of 2012, but there is another popular deep-blue liberal ready to take his place: Rep. Chris Murphy (D-CT).
Another big government, pro-union, pro-ObamaCare liberal. UGH
i heard that too - which kinda disappointed me - the more asterisks and exceptions, the less i like it
OT
Yes, her mean corpuscular volume (MCV) is elevated. Should be between 80-100, it was 102 a couple months ago, this morning it was 108. If the blood doc can’t figure it out she has to have bone marrow biopsy next couple weeks to check for Leukemia.
I think Hannity does a lot to advance the cause; and but for Hannity, I doubt anyone would know who Jeremiah Wright even was, much less what he had to say.
Hannity just isn’t my cup o’joe.
not a bad tax plan there .....I need to read the 16th amendment to get up to speed
