Steele: Perry Got 'Owned' When He Opened 'Whup---'
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 10/19/2011 4:50:25 AM PDT by governsleastgovernsbest

A lively GOP debate dissection on today's Morning Joe. Mika really liked Romney's performance, saying among other things that he was "fabulous." She also had surprising praise for Michelle Bachmann.

There was consensus that 9-9-9 was "deboned" and that Herman Cain hurt himself badly with his pre-debate answer on releasing terrorists from Gitmo. Michael Steele had a striking way of saying that Perry's aggressiveness backfired.

Video and more here.

Steele says Perry got “owned” when he opened “whup-—” during last night’s debate. Ping to Today show list.

Michael Steele is pathetic joke, and a cautionary tale for the GOP.

That was the worst of his debate. My brother, a Romney supporter text me from the airport mouthing Perry.

Perry got the last laugh and will in the truth arena too. Mitt throws out accusations knowing you have 30 seconds to rebut.

Perry's last laugh is that he actually looked like he knew what he was talking about securing the border. Cain and Romney apparently wont be building that 2000 mile fence but have weaker less detailed versions of Perry's plan.

Can I ask you what your ping list is? Is it just an anti-Perry list?

Perry and Romney looked like a couple of girls up on stage bickering over a boy.

Nice how he drags the language of the discourse down a few notches. What has happened to intelligent conversation? Everything is sounding more and more like what you’d hear on a street corner or in a sports bar.

‘Can I ask you what your ping list is? Is it just an anti-Perry list?’

Hi normy: Absolutely not. Normally it’s reserved for critiquing liberal media bias, but occasionally just reports interesting items from a variety of shows, often including Morning Joe and other MSNBC fare.

The list began years ago when I focused on liberal bias at Today, but has since expanded to cover the MSM at large.

I liked it. Herman Cain looked like he wanted to hug Romney. He is the front runner and her never even laid a pinkie on Romney nor did he even try.

When Romney backed Perry on the apples to oranges remark I cringed for Cain.

Herman is a sales man and a good one but it was clear he doesn't really know his product all that well.

By the way, notice how you wont be getting your 2000 mile electric fence? Herman and Mitt have weaker less detailed and less informed versions of Perry's plan. Want a fence? Vote Bachmann.

The only 2 people on stage that look ‘presidential’ are Cain and Gingrich

I would love to see a Cain/Gingrich ticket.

I love Michelle Bachman but who planned that look for her? Ruth Buzzi? Geez, woman- big hair, a black skirt, and a red blazer, got it?

Ron Paul is brilliant but looks too frail to be President, I think think he can survive the stress of elections.

The other guys -eh... who cares?

I care about two things in this election cycle: 1) that the candidate is a true American who loves this country and wants to sustain our heritage as a freedom-loving, self-determining, individualistic, CAPITALIST society (and thus someone who hates socialism), and 2) that the candidate is electable.

The rest I can live with, because I know that if they are truly what I describe in point 1 above, they will do their best to do the right things. Sure, I’d like a candidate that hits every point on my extended checklist, but right now I want to save the country from the Marxists.

Couple of Juvenal rinos humping each other. Would be a better description, but old Willard laid a couple of bad humps on Perry. Probably left a mark, but the best one is I will get back to you with my plan as soon as the staff tells me what it is.

Why would anyone care what this airhead has to say?

Mika really liked Romney's performance...

Didn't one of her brothers work for the Romney campaign in 2008? Hmm.
