Sure. You always have to look at the expense of competing proposals. Building a fence may be expensive but I think it may be less expensive than permanently hiring manpower to be stationed all long such a long border. Therefore a fence should be more economic.
Everyone just imagine What a Cain candidacy means... He gets to debate Obama on a national stage. True Conservative Ideals against the radical left Progressive failure that is the current resident of the White House. A man that has a true American experience not a radical Marxist communist influenced upbringing by rich white granny and getting coddled through the expensive Havaaaad education. Herman Cain is the TRUTH..... Obama is a MARXIST LIE.... I want to see them both on a stage to once and for all settle this argument in front of the masses.
What DID Paul say? I couldnt follow it.
You ain’t alone.
Cain would empower states to pick up the slack, not sub out the Fed’s job on immigration and the border.
Secure the border with more boots on the ground
I do believe we can secure the border with a combination of boots on the ground, technology, and a fence, but we’ve got three other problems. And to get to it, we’ve got to secure the border.
Secondly, let’s promote the path to citizenship that’s already there. We don’t need a new one, we just need to clean up the bureaucracy that’s slowing the process down and discouraging people.
The third thing we need to do, enforce the laws that are there, and the way we do it, empower the states. I believe that the people closest to the problem are the best ones to be able to solve that problem. Empower the states to do what the federal government hasn’t done, can’t do, and won’t do. This is how we solve the entire problem.

I am convinced Romney will have his clock cleaned by Obama in debate.
Romney will not win over Obama.
This debate has cinched in for me.
He gives canned answers. He can’t think on his feet. He gets flustered.
But he has no philosophy. no raison d’etre.
No grounding or passion.
Cain — yes.
Ron Paul—yes.
“The virtual fence was tried in Arizona and was a bust as some of us knew it would be.”
And any time an administration wants to save money, or maybe curry favor with Mexico, a virtual fence can disappear instantly.
A real fence guarantees that the next pro-illegal President we get stuck with will have a harder time indulging them.
Oh, come on, tattoos are hot...especially when you can pay for them instead of providing for yourself LOL
Haw Hoo!
Cain is coasting through just fine. A neutral performance.
Hey - the media is all about splitting the vote - hoping that Romney will win nomination because he would be easy to beat - too few real supporters.
Yeh...he’s looking creepy and about to break.
I agree
I like ‘em all. Hey, Switzerland has, if I member correctly, 7 cantons, and each canton’s president has his turn in doing the gig of the perzident of the federation. Can we do something like that here?
I wonder how many bras those tats could have bought? She could trip over those puppies.
Romney actually had the gall to put his hand on Perry’s shoulder in a gesture of restraint.
Wish Perry had removed it.
I think he might prefer to return to the days where a single wealthy individual would pass out the bucks to stop the bust.
Not sure who has money like that anymore.
At the time the Fed was created private individuals already didn't have that money.
The Fed is chartered to tame the cycles through control of discount rates (which, in turn, control interest rates). The theory is that it's marginally useful projects that lead to runaway booms that are always followed by deadly busts. So if you raise interest rates there will be fewer marginally useful projects and fewer booms and fewer busts.
The basic idea is actually total BS. The history of America has actually been one of ever expanding economic activity associated with greater and greater implementation of better methods, mechanization, automation, computerization and robotics. George Washington and his crowd were pioneers in improvements in agricultural methods and in biogenetic proceses.
The Fed simply isn't equipped to deal with modern technology or dynamic modeling in a deflationary cycle.
The two are acting very unpresidential.
I can’t figure out what either of their opinions are...and Perry isn’t answering the questions. He’s just going back to his drill baby drill dialogue.
Perry’s debate coaches must have drilled that into him and it’s a huge disadvantages when looking for a well rounded Presidential candidate.
Mitt is just a Ken Doll with a bunch of generic answers.
I don’t think he’s tough enough.
Oh Lydia, oh Lydia, say, have you met Lydia?
Lydia The Tattooed Lady.
She has eyes that folks adore so,
and a torso even more so.
Lydia, oh Lydia, that encyclo-pidia.
Oh Lydia The Queen of Tattoo.
On her back is The Battle of Waterloo.
Beside it, The Wreck of the Hesperus too.
And proudly above waves the red, white, and blue.
You can learn a lot from Lydia!
