Actually Cain may need to revise his suggestion of having the states handle the illegals instead of the feds, because if the states do it, there will be too much incentive for corruption, ala Perry.

Cain would empower states to pick up the slack, not sub out the Fed's job on immigration and the border.

Santorum’s prez prospects are over. I think he can do good things for conservatives behind the scenes if he chooses, but his somewhat bland personality and his support for Spector cost him in ways that can never be recovered.

"CNN is really full of shit on this Latino issue. Straw dog argument. Editorializing in their line of questions."

Thank you for picking up on that. Yes..........BIG TIME.

CNN does the subtiles (not sure that is a word), but you know what I mean very well.
Example: The very music at the introduction program was so negative. Sort of like Shark Movie music.
They do nothing wizz bang to prop up the set. Oh a bunch of stars and striped to keep it clean like they are doing their job.

Ron Paul is right, and he continues to make sense!

I suspect Mitt just now stuck his finger to the wind on the nuclear waste question based on Ron Paul’s answer and audience response.

agree with much in your post, but lay the blame where it belongs. The biggest problems lay right at the feet of the Federal Government.

Cain and Perry's border plans are identical, and it is the correct plan.

A fence along the total border is just a feel good solution that would waste millions of dollars and not really touch the problem of illegal immigration.

Strategic fencing in conjunction with boots on the ground is the right answer.

“This audience is clearly for Romney - they boo every time Romney is attacked.”

Lots of Mormons in NV. Right next door to Utah and all. Lots of Hispanics too.

The virtual fence was tried in Arizona and was a bust as some of us knew it would be.,/i>

The Yuma section has worked very well.

*****************

"The Department of Homeland Security on Friday canceled a project to build a technology-based “virtual fence” across the Southwest border, saying that the effort — on which $1 billion has already been spent — was ineffective and too costly"

"In a pilot program in Arizona, it cost about $1 billion to build the system across 53 miles of the state’s border"

"Boeing had built a complex system of sensors, radars and cameras mounted on towers that was supposed to lead border agents to the exact location of illegal crossers. But the system functioned inconsistently in the rough terrain along much of the border."

I still think that Gingrich would make a great press secretary.

Perfect for him.
