Santorum served two terms in the U.S. House and two terms in the U.S. Senate. He became the Senate's third-ranking Republican in 2001. He was defeated for reelection in 2006.
If you think Perry is having a good night, you are seriously blinded by your Perry-love. I seriously want to like the guy, but he looks pathetic tonight. The audience was booing him at times for some of his answers.
I do not necessarily disagree with you on this point...of the field, he is in my top three.....and for the record...Romney doesnt make the first cut!
He is using the language of Obama, SEIU, Communist Party...
WILLINGLY. He never says freedom, liberty, Declaration of Independence, thats
the kryponite to Obama. He LOVES big government,.” <<<
You, sir are correct! Romney is quite noticably lacking conservative speak. As you say, it is “WILLINGLY”.
Did you hear Cooper say 41% of Republicans think Romney’s best to beat Obama? If so, we are so screwed. I don’t think it’s true, however.
There’s always an answer. Modern technology should and will play a huge part in getting the immigration problem under control but states cannot be expected to shoulder the entire cost. The US Government is constitutionally obligated to CONTROL our borders.
It’s ludicrous that everyone skewers Gov Perry; as if he were ‘ruling’ instead of ‘governing’. We have a POS president ‘ruling (by fiat)’. Perry has carried out what the legislature has passed.
You are right I am sick of Santorum telling us how he is this great winning horse.
Yep. Folks, try this experiment: Listen to Mr. Cain’s replies like a speech teacher would, without judging the content. I think you’ll find his answers are always concise, clearly understandable, and actually responsive to the question that was asked. This may be subliminal, but it registers with people.
He is certainly distracted!
And, we believe what Cooper says why?
the Posters hee are all about how the person debates, how smooth they are...THAT is not a criteria for me.
I want principles first, and plitical savy second ..That is why I like Perry.
And did you hear the applause afterwards?
UGH.
Hey, I’m with you. I live in CA so I have no room to be critical of any other state. My only defense of this state is it is the home of Free Republic. :-)
Santorum good answer of Anderson Cooper’s (Romney-lovin’) question about which Republican has best chance to beat Obama.
The Israelis are security conscious, are they not? And much more skilled at achieving it than we. And they rely on armed outposts to control the West Bank of the Jordan. There is no fence on either side of the Allenby Bridge.
Fences and rivers are incompatible. Especially in semi-arid territory.
I'm all in favor of securing the border. But a fence isn't a workable solution along the Texas-Mexican border. It would be a burden to Americans...and a boon to the Mexicans.
What's the good of that?
I feel Santorum, who is NOT a front runner, is dominating the whole debate. It’s just annoying. Same w/ Bachman.
And what is this about Romney being the one to beat Obama ...too many polls give that to Cain, not Romney.
yeah, it would suck, but it makes sense as to why damn near every one of her attacks have been at Herman, the one guy on the stage that ideologically is nearest to her.
