The State Department has awarded 4,453 permanent resident "Diversity Visa" applications to would-be immigrants from Iran, a state sponsor of terrorism that was recently implicated in a plot to assassinate the Saudi Arabian ambassador to the United States.
The lottery program for Diversity Visas awards prospective immigrants with the chance to obtain a permanent residency visa. The 4,453 prospective Iranian immigrants will still have to pursue their visa applications on their own, according to the State Department’s website.
To be eligible, applicants must have at least a high school education or two years of work within the previous five years at a job that requires at least two years of training.
Iran’s intelligence services have been implicated in a plot to assassinate the Saudi ambassador to the United States by bombing a restaurant or public place in Washington, D.C.

Hard as it is to believe, my town does not have one Muslim Lesbian. Not a damned 1! How the hell are we supposed to compete in sophisticated international markets? There was a place that had an espresso machine, but until we have a gay Muslim outreach program, we will never be another Seattle.
Perhaps Stimulus Funds could be used to get a circuit-riding Muslim Lesbian who could cover several towns trying to survive these harsh economic times. Hell, we would even settle for an Asian Transgendered person. (We do have a cross-dresser, thank you.)

i know quite a few from northern europe as well as scotland that would immigrate to the US given a chance.

I don't know, since Scotland is a fairly small country it wouldn't take very many for them to not be "under-represented" in the US. And if they counted the Scots-Irish, they'd be very well represented.
But the real purpose of the Visa Lottery is to bring in more people from Third World nations, so there are probably few white majority nations that would qualify for that PC, white guilt lottery. Maybe Russia and a few other of the old USSR nations where few could leave for many decades.
High? There shouldn't be any unless they have the skills we need or a small fortune and/or experience in starting a business while we still have the Great Recession with huge unemployment and underemployment numbers.

BTW, the State Department, surely with Hillary's blessing, sent ex-con Marion Jones, the disgraced athlete was stripped of her Olympic medals and later played in the WNBA, to represent the US on diplomatic visits to Serbia and Croatia.
