---EXPLANATORY NOTES---
After the latest parliamentary election, Oct.9,2011, Poland's political theater has gained a new actor - Ruch Poparcia Palikota. In English this could be translated as Movement to Support Palikot, an organization that gathers people with strong hostile attitude to the Catholic Church, or actually, against Christianity as a whole.
Since the fall of communism in 1989, there has been no political party that so openly emphasised its attitude to Christianity, esp. to its symbols like Crucifixes hanged on the walls in schools, hospitals, state offices including the highest ones like the Parliament.
The new parliament consists of :
Political Right and Center
39.18% of votes that gives 207/460 seats for the Civic Platform (fiscal conservatives, mostly Catholic believers),
29.89% of votes that gives 157/460 seats for of the Law & Justice (social conservatives with strong commitment to social teaching of the Catholic Church),
8.36% of votes that gives 28/460 seats for the Polish People's Party (rural conservatives with some socialistic fiscal tendencies; socially conservative and Catholic)
the Right (total) : 391/460, which is 85% of the Polish Parliament
Political Left and Ultraleft:
8.24% of votes that gives 27/460 seats for the Democratic Left Alliance (a post communist leftwing party; compared to UK Labor Party or German Social Democrats)
10.02% of votes that gives 40 seats for Movement to Support Palikot, or for short, Palikot's Movement, (an ultraleft organization created by a former MP of the Civic Platform, expelled from there for his offensive behaviour against e.g. clergy; easily compared to anticatholic Spanish Zapatero's socialists, which openly aimed at total war against the Catholic Church and entire Christianity together with its symbols)
The Left (total): 67/460, which is 15% of the Polish Parliament

23 "but we preach [a]Christ crucified"
1 Corinthians 2:2
2 For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified.
Galatians 6:14
14 But may it never be that I would boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through [a]which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
Seems like the Poles get it.
They also seem to realize that once you start letting these godless leftist dictate how to express your faith, in the name of tolerance, that eventually they take everything over and leave your nation tottering without principles or identity, which is a sad lesson America is learning too late.
Once the crosses are all gone from America, it will sink into the morass of a third world nation, and the leftists at the NY Times will speculate endlessly on “why” and perhaps “is this a good thing” without ever coming close to the truth. Which is that they destroyed their own, great country with their selfish utopian marxism.
