Over on Network World where Ive had a gig as a columnist for about 18 years, my Backspin column I wrote this week about a power generation system called E-Cat that is to be tested on October 28th .
If youve missed the recent brouhaha over the E-Cat (which stands for Energy Catalyzer), youre missing out on a three ring circus over a technology that will either change everything or change nothing because what is promised is, in theory, power too cheap to be worth metering .

Here you go, Pal. Read away. This science mag is just one of many sources which refer to Rossi’s funding:
http://www.nyteknik.se/taggar/?tag=Cold+Fusion
In reading through the articles I just linked for you, I learned something new: Rossi claims to have a factory in Miami with hundreds of these machines in it. Did you know that? What do you think the odds of that being true are?
It’s not opinion, it’s objective fact. The only reason one would get a fake diploma is to deceive others into thinking he has a university education. It’s deceit, pure and simple.
What don’t you understand?
I see. What’s the address? Do you really believe that he has built hundreds of these machines in there?
If you Rossi cheerleaders truly believe this, how do you reconcile this with your claims that Rossi has taken no investment? Who pays for the factory and who paid for the manufacturing inputs: material, etc.? Who pays the electric bill? Is it all Rossi’s personal money?
Either Rossi has a factory, or he doesn’t. If he doesn’t, he’s a liar (big shock).
We already know he lied about his university diploma. You guys just refuse to admit it.
Not even close, and certainly not worthy of a french fry, seagull. I've been reading NYTeknik since its first report on Rossi and have read most, if not all, of those articles. Put up a link to THE SPECIFIC SOURCE that talks about the investment that Ampenergo made with Rossi, or get lost.
Re "factory in Miami".....whether the factory is in Miami, Bologna, or the Keebler elves hollow tree it has produced an awful lot of hardware. And that activity took place "somewhere". Precisely where that activity happened is again, irrelevant to the topic. Innuendo and speculation....AGAIN.
You are hilarious! Read below for “THE SPECIFIC SOURCE”:

I’m still waiting for you to tell us why you think Rossi has a fake degree, if not to deceive...
This “seagull” (what a strange moniker you guys coined!) will excerpt the bit about funding, for those whom are unwilling to scan the article I just posted:
Why did you form a new company?
Cassarino: We formed Ampenergo, because Ampenergo and LTI involve different people and they are separate companies that do completely different things. LTI is an energy engineering and consulting firm, while Ampenergo will be focused on developing and commercializing the Energy Catalyzer.
How much do you pay for the agreement?
Cassarino: Unfortunately thats confidential.
Have you paid anything to Rossi yet?
Cassarino: Yes we have.
How much?
Cassarino: Lets put it like this, it was an important piece of the equation.
Okay, now that we’ve established that you were 100% incorrect about Rossi not receiving funding, let’s move on to other inconvenient (for you) facts: how about the fraudulent diploma?
You've asked me to prove certain assertions or conjectures I've made in the past. Looking at the validity of the device as a whole, I choose time and accountability as my tools. It is impossible to prove that the device does not work (from a logical standpoint). It's up to the inventors to prove that it does work.
T minus 10 days and counting until something happens.
Well, that would be something wouldn’t it? It’s the result I expect, either that, or some unforeseen problem will crop up which muddies the results or the schedule.
But hey, they’ve signed themselves up for the demo...
VERY GOOD! You see, you "can" actually engage in a fact-based discussion. Keep up the good work.
Yes, I read that specific article long ago. There is nothing there that says that Ampenergo invested under any other terms than Rossi has used for all his other deals...(i.e. that no money transfers until the customer is satisfied that the device works).
But you really "should" read the article more closely. If you do, you will see that many of the principles of Ampenergo are people that Rossi has worked with, or for, for many years. Of all the people in the world most qualified to make a "personality" judgment call on Rossi, they are probably THE most qualified group to do so. And "they" think he's "on the up-and-up".
Note also that Ampenergo states that they had the device verified by another scientist who had a "cold fusion" background, and that "he" was enthusiastic about Rossi's tech.
So, in total, the article is yet another actual piece of proof that Rossi's device is real, and works.
And in fact, some others have implied that Ampenergo is part of "the scam", rather than being scammed.
"Im still waiting for you to tell us why you think Rossi has a fake degree, if not to deceive..."
Please....hold your breath waiting.
And this addresses your two later posts.
But "do" keep trying.
I’m beginning to think you are a mental case, or perhaps you just refuse to admit you are wrong. You said, “...no money transfers until the customer is satisfied that the device works,” but the article clearly states that they had already paid Rossi a significant amount of money at the time of the article’s writing.
Again, you casually dismiss Rossi’s fraudulent credentials with a casual wave of your hand... Perhaps you are a fellow Kensington “graduate?”
Yes, it does indeed say something IMPLYING that. But that is NOT in contradiction to the "...not paying (Rossi) until the customer is satisified that the technology works...". The gentleman could be equating "paid into an escrow account" as being the same as "paid to Rossi". Or it could even be interpreted as saying that the device has been evaluated, they are satisfied that the device works, and so they paid Rossi the money formerly in the escrow account.
I have a problem with the latter assertion, though, as I can't see why, if there was a significant cash payment to Rossi, Rossi still needed to sell his house to get the cash to build the 1 MW system. My bet is that the money is still sitting in the escrow account, and not in Rossi's hands.
"Again, you casually dismiss Rossis fraudulent credentials with a casual wave of your hand... Perhaps you are a fellow Kensington graduate?
Yes I do. And I've told you precisely why....multiple times...it's irrelevant.
And I graduated from LSU (which, at the time, had one of the top analytical chemistry faculties in the country...and still does...though I am not sure if the current batch of profs is as good as the ones when I was there).
Not sure why you think it’s paranoid. It’s an informal way of addressing a group. It’s the same as “y’all” if you are Southern.
obscure and probably incorrect minutiae
***basically the same stuff you write
