Last month, Insider Advantage had him leading Romney in the state 29/20. A month later, He now barely has a heartbeat.
When I saw Perrys topline number of three percent, I figured the Ponzi scheme talk must have sent Floridas seniors running screaming into the night. Not so. Hes actually doing (marginally) worse with other age demographics in this poll, and in the last poll he did reasonably well with the 65+ crowd, finishing second to Romney in that group with almost 23 percent. That poll was taken on September 13, which was almost a week after Romney started attacking him on Social Security, so if entitlement chatter is whats driving this, you would have expected to see some of that show up in last months data. Whats killing him here, I assume, is the same thing thats killing him everywhere his crack about the bases heartlessness on immigration plus general disappointment that the anointed Romney-killer in the race has ended up making Romney look better and better with his debate performances thus far.

Oi! You’re gonna wake up the Perry Wankers with that one!
Sort of like McCain, who is a liberal RINO begging to be primaried, then runs some ads pretending to be conservative in an election year and they “forgive” him, only to get the football pulled away again. It’s amazing how short some voters’ attention spans are.
I hear the Perry-rooter ladies sit at their computers listening to the Perry theme song——”Stand By Your Man.”
ROTFLOL.
You’ve got me splashing my beer all over the screen. What a rant!
Thanks for bringing up the secession remarks. Some of us folks in the other, admittedly, tiny, insignificant, awful little 49 states were not too impressed with that threat.
...and as the arm of the’ol phonograph resets on the 45, they quickly post that the rest of us are guaranteeing 4 more years of Obama or Romney by pointing out Perry’s liberalism.
“WINNING !”
Smart people down there.
As they say in Texas: “a good Yankee goes home; a damn Yankee stays in Texas.”
So if the suckers want to secede-—I say go for it.
Who needs their dam barbecue, anyway?
They were also responsible for those awful photos of their man - dewey-eyed, sentimental representations of the great Governor that would make Steve Keene and his saucer-eyed urchins look modest.
“I am also not offended by his electrified fence joke.”
Offended by it?
Hell I was excited by it! I also want “sharks with frikkin laser beams on their heads” in a moat in front of the electric fence!
Glad to see you are a fellow survivor, Norm.
But you can see this is a residual problem. LOL

Perry’s attacks on Cain aren’t getting him anywhere. He would do much better by directing his faithful to attack Romney and Obama, while pushing his energy policies. Cain will still be in the lead, but Perry could do his part to help the cause.
*gloating*
“our”.....I don't support liberals and never will. You can support liberal Perry and Romney but not me. You can take your shame and look in the mirror. You are disgusting to support such a horrible candidate. You will learn......you are completely delusional. It is very sad.
Some people believe we have something called a “Conservative Party” in America. We don’t. If there should have been a Conservative Party, then some folks should have been brave enough to get out there and start one instead of attempting to destroy our whole system with silly attacks on our candidates. Our candidates are running under the banner of the Republican Party. Even Ron Paul. That means for any one of them to win, they need all of us. If Cain is on the ticket, I’ll overlook his careless comment on the electrifying fence. I can just imagine the optics on that one. The tv commercials showing a kid being fried on a fence with Herman Cain holding the start button. What a terrible thing to say. I know he’s a good man and regrets saying it. Conservative message? I don’t think so. Not in my lifetime. Must be a new breed of Conservative on this thread.
I agree. Perry has self-destructed.
There are a couple granted....
Always are. But at least she has a future. Perry, not so much.
THE MONEY QUOTE: “Whats killing Perry in Fla is the same thing thats killing him everywhere his crack about the bases ‘heartlessness’ on immigration plus general disappointment that the anointed Romney-killer in the race has ended up making Romney look better and better with his debate performances thus far.”
Please explain why advocating or using potentially deadly force in defense of this country’s border is somehow something to feel guilt, shame or regret over.
Do you think babies crawl unaided across miles of desert in +100 temps and throw themselves against electric fences for the greater glory of “My Little Pony”?
You mean like the TV commercials showing Paul Ryan pushing grammie over a cliff in her wheelchair? Yeah. We REALLY bought into that one, didn’t we?
Come on. Rick Perry should have kept his word to Texas AND to G-d and served out his term as governor. He might then have had a legacy. Now....I don’t know.
And FWIW, I think what his wife did in SC put the nail in his coffin. The whiney victim thing is anathema to a proud Texan.
