Cain 43%, Obama 41%
Charleston (WV) Daily Mail ^ | October 17, 2011 | Don Surber

It’s Herman Cain 43%, Barack Obama 41% in the latest Rasmussen Poll. This is the first national poll to show Cain ahead of the president. While this is within the margin of error, it is further evidence of what a great month Herman Cain has had since the second debate in September. The wind is at his back as he heads into tomorrow night’s debate. A quick scan inside the numbers:

Men like Cain, 48%-42%.

Among the ladies, Cain is down, 37%-41%.

Among those 65 and older, Cain is 50%-34%.

Among those under 30, Cain is down 35%-50%.

Cain gets only 4% of the black vote, but leads among whites by 15 points.

Keep in mind that this poll is taken while conservatives are having a mud slinging fest amongst themselves, and the establishment wouldn’t dare admit to supporting Cain. Cain will beat Obama.

Surprising that the elderly go for the 999 plan. Perhaps they know America needs to change course better than most.

It's time to stop this Perry hating. We have an election to win and we are on a team but you seem to take delight in trying to insult Perry or anyone supporting Perry.

I've been a Perry supporter and will continue to support him until it is obvious someone else is better but I am DELIGHTED to see Cain with these kinds of numbers.

This is MY team and I want to take out Obama. Now, if Perry would come back to these kinds of numbers, we should all be delighted. The goal is to take out Obama.

I have been thinking of writing a vanity to the proposal that if Cain is stopped, it will be because of northern republican moderate racists. In other words - the Republican Party cognescenti that want Romney at any cost.

Cain will sweep the south. Haley Barbour’s wife said so.
The South has overcome the racism that the North and its self-righteous/supercilious/coddling beltway never will.

Although Palin was my first choice, I can now almost taste a Cain candidacy against Obama. I want to wipe the smug and condescending remarks from the likes of George Will and Joe Scarborough and all them bleepin’ elites.

Herman Cain was the first guy out there declaring his candidacy. He believed God spared him for a reason, and I do too. I want to see a non-politician for my president.
That would truly shake up the establishment to its foundation.

In a debate, Obama fears Cain the most. Obama can’t use his class envy and ‘keep em down on the plantation’ talk with Cain, who left that plantation years ago.

(So what we glean here is that:

- Cain isn’t Black enough
- Women still want the government to be their husbands
- The older are wiser
- The yutes want everthing handed to them
- Men are more inclind towards self-sufficiency)

Now, that is what I call good gleaning.

The more press attention Herman gets the better he will be and the more money he will raise. This is great for his campaign.

The good news is old people vote.
Young people generally do not bother to vote.
The blacks are not as energized/excited about “the one”
Men that want to get rid of Obama are energized.
Who knows what women will do.

Cain will get more black votes than will ever be polled because a lot of blacks will pull the Cain(a real full blooded American black man whose people were actually slaves)lever when they get behind the curtain

Cain still needs to turn support into money
until he sees a surge in people putting money where their mouth is, it is still an anomaly

I think the money will come, but money is not everything - just ask Rick Perry. He's raised a lot of money, had PACs formed with 10s of millions of dollars to support him, and he went backwards in the polls. Or travel back to 2008 and ask Ron Paul about how important money (and blimps) are.

So he’s that high without those under 30, women or blacks! Wow! That’s impressive!

And they will probably change their mind three times between now and then.

Do I need the sarc tag? runs for cover and protection.

The demographic breakdown has absolutely NO surprises, does it? Women/youth/blacks are all for Barack.

What many people don’t realize is that Cain would SWEEP the South. All of those chock-full black churches now realize Obama is an effeminate Muslim Marxist. In case y’all don’t know it, the President of the Black Chamber of Commerce in Washington D.C. said the following this past summer: “ I am dedicating the year 2012 to taking 2 to 3 million black votes away from Obama. Black entrepreneurship is dying under this fool! “

And even better about a South sweep? It would pretty much end any more ‘the south is racist’ crap from the MSM.

“Women” are not a monolithic group.
They need to break that grouping apart into
“Married” and “Single/Divorced”.

I’m betting the “Married” group tracks right along with “men”, and the “Single/Divorced” group would be MUCH higher for Daddy/Hubby Government.
