If we court marshaled everyone that commits adultery (roughly 60% of women and 70% of men) over time, if we court marshal everyone that commits sodomy (which if it includes all forms is over 90%) you would end up with an Army/Navy/Marine Corps/Air Force 3% of present. Leavenworth, we got some business coming your way!

I have a question? How can the DoD throw in sodomy charges against him but at the same time allow open homosexuals in its ranks?

The real offense is that he allegedly raped someone. That was nothing but an “accusation” it appears. That rest that you mention is the UCMJ/judge/command throwing the book at him and nothing more than BS because they would have to lock up MOST of the rest of the force too if they actually enforced those rules consistently.

***If they blast him like this for adultery and sodomy, they wanted to hang him.

I saw a Colonel in (1999-2000) Ft Wainwright Alaska get to retire after he lied and committed adultery with the S-1 which he was banging in the HQ’s. Both married, one retired, the other separated with an honorable discharge. Your argument is BS.

If they can't get him on rape, the rest should have simply been thrown out.

I'm happy that you reached Holiness and don't live in a fallen world anymore. For the rest of us it's only a matter of which vice or sin you fall for. For some it's lust, for others: greed, wrath, sloth, envy, gluttony, or pride. But of course you're above it all and “Never” had a moment of weakness which isn't an argument in your view. The purpose isn't to rationalize sin or affirm bad behavior, but to realize that we are all far from perfect and that we shouldn't harden our hearts to those that do sin. I believe scriptural there is something said on this.

If we court marshaled everyone that commits adultery

Who are you quoting? Why do you need to go the "holier than thou" route?

Not everyone commits adultery. People who don't have minimize their risks of compounding problems like this. You disagree with that?

Furthermore, this happens to non-military people all the time. They also lose their careers, families, savings. This is no different.

How's the best way to resolve this? Don't take the first step.
