I think Cain has really jumped the shark on this one, probably because he has advisors who read FR and assume from the more violent posters that the main concern of the entire country at this moment is keeping Mexicans away.

People who are extremely anti-immigration are very extreme about it and say really appalling things that I have a hard time believing any real conservative would say (and frankly, I think some of the more hate-filled posters are probably Dem agents provocateurs, because there are a lot of names I never ever see post on any other threads). They have managed to portray Perry as pro-open borders, whatever that means, and Cain is responding to this.

However, even from a political point of view, this shows that Cain is just winging it. He is saying whatever he thinks will serve to destroy Perry ... but he seems to be unaware of the fact that just 4% of the electorate indicates immigration (of any kind) as their main concern. So I think Cain is playing to an imaginary base, and in doing so, is revealing his game.

People who are extremely anti-immigration ...anti illegal immigration

Sure get tired of fixing that ...wouldn't think I'd have to keep doing that here at FR...sigh...

The invasion of illegals from whatever border are NOT all Mexicans. Problem is we have NO CLUE who crosses our borders.

If 4% REALLY was it on illegal immigration, Perry would still be leading.

Nice try, but you are wrong.

Now if 43% want immigration in general decreased, you can bet they are more adamant about illegal migration.
