Has Mr Cain any idea what Posse Comitatus is?

Yes he does and obviously you don’t. The Military will not be engaged in policing the citizens of this country. Check your history and you will find that many of the cavalry forts and outposts were tasked with going after the likes of Pancho Villa and other cross border bandits after they got Geronimo. Ft. Huachuca was one of those.

What a silly question. Every black American knows that the Posse Comitatus law was passed on one day and the next JIM CROW WAS IMPOSED?

So, what are you proposing ~ a return to the days when a black person had to step off the sidewalk to let a white person pass?

“Has Mr Cain any idea what Posse Comitatus is?”

I didn’t know it prohibited the US from defending itself against foreign invasion.

But what the hell, why not re-write the definition.

Was that when Douglas MacArthur and the Army removed the WW1 vets from the Washington Mall?

Was that when tanks were used in Waco?

Does that mean the Constitution Free Zones 100 miles wide around our borders?

Don’t feel bad. Our government hasn’t known what Posse Comitatus means for at least 80 years.

Posse Comitatus - The Act prohibits members of the Army from exercising nominally state law enforcement, police, or peace officer powers that maintain "law and order" on non-federal property (states and their counties and municipal divisions) within the United States.

Securing our borders *is* a Federal right and responsibility. Using US troops against US citizens is against Posse Comitatus. Using them to secure our borders against an invasion is not.

Posse Comitatus does not apply in this situation.
