I hadn’t thought of the water rights issue and the various water treaties in place either. It is a lot more complicated than most realize. It’s obvious that this is just another area Cain is kind of clueless on too.

The "1-1-1" plan:

- Electrified border barrier

- eliminate the welfare freebies

- deportation (a 21st century Operation Wetback)

Electrocuting children and babies?

Are you serious?

Even so, if the ILLEGAL parents allow it to happen then that's just too bad.

Fences don’t kill people, people kill people.

Or does that only apply to guns? ;-)

Having read through the posts since last night I am just floored. There are people here arguing that it is somehow wrong to kill invaders in defense of our border.

What in the Nine Hells are people doing on a conservative website using LIBERAL QUOTES like “Seeking a batter Economic Future”??

And the Arizona chick is a prime example of Jimmy Carter malaise with her “It’s too hard...the terrain is rough” mentality. Dear God please give me my Free Republic website back because I am unsure as to where I am.

Again people. We currently live in orbit. We build thousand foot skyscrapers and live in them by the thousands. We drill for oil in 13000 feet of water. We strung fiber-optic cable across the oceans... Don’t try to tell me we cannot build a freaking fence and that animals can’t get water. I cannot fathom the sheer stupidity that allows someone to throw their integrety out the door in PUBLIC just to fall on their candidate;s sword. Nor can I grasp how self deluding and disingenuous people here are willing to be over what it takes to seal and protect a border.

Full fence
BP/Military/whatever patrols
Ground penetrating sonar
Dogs
Cameras
Airborne Drones/surveillance

It has been done for THOUSANDS of years from China to Russia to Europe with a fraction of the tech and knowledge we possess today. Now back to the killing thing...

An enemy is an enemy. Someone attempting to violate our border is a criminal at minimum and an enemy at the other end. Neither of these things is acceptable to allow free access to our soil. Any woman stupid enough to fry her child on an electric fence is one we want here. This is no different than Palestinians strapping bombs to their kids. WE, nor ISRAEL is the bad guy when we take measures to stop them from breaching our borders.

Any Illegal stupid enough to challenge our border by any means is opening THEMSELVES to deadly force. WE are not going into Mexico and forcing them to come here. They do it of their own free will and the reason MATTERS NOT AT ALL WHY.

The pussification of America is at such a level that we are on the most conservative site on the web today arguing about it being somehow “wrong” “Stupid” “Ignorant” “UnAmerican” and a dozen other descriptors for why using deadly force to protect America and her citizens is “incorrect.”

Because that’s the bottom line. You are either wanting our country and citizens safe and sovereign, or you do not. Period. You are willing to take a life when that safety and sovereignty is threatened or you are not. You believe in the concept of a border or you do not. While you have your little moment of intellectual masturbation, more and more illegals violate our border and with each new illegal, the power of the Left/Democrats grows.

This incrementalism ultimately results in one thing. The end of America at the hands of people too meek to stand up for it. And some of you want to just keep putting off the hard choices because the language ‘offends you’. You can sugar coat it, you can make all the excuses in the world. But you cannot find a single flaw in my logic here.

Now I invite you anti-fencers and pro-Perry apologists to address the issues I have presented here and prove them wrong. Don’t call me names, don’t use flippant one-liners. ADDRESS THESE ISSUES if you have any courage of your convictions. Stop making the same rehashed excuses that LIBERALS have made for decades as to why we “Can’t” do it and factually disprove all the reasons we “CAN” without all the emotional bull$h!t. Or admit that you hold Liberal and anti-American values. There is no grey area for you to hide in.

“Snipers won’t be allowed to shoot innocent children down, and actually it’s pretty easily to sneak a balloon at night. Other than eclipsing a few stars, it’s pretty inconspicuous. It will be lucrative and provide jobs for air ferrymen and the ground support who booby trap the surrounding roads near landing sites. I just need to decide whether to call it the Tortilla Flotilla or Eclipso Cruz Lines.”

You Perry-bots are border-line pyscho now. I’m starting to think that instructions are to simply tie-up us FReepers, so that others can dish it out on other threads. But I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt this one time.

“Snipers won’t be allowed to shoot innocent children down”

Maybe, maybe not. That depends on rules of engagement. Just because we’ve had a bunch of softies as president in the past, doesn’t mean Cain will play by those rules. Also, when shooting a balloon, it’s unlikely that they will see anything other than the balloon itself.

“Other than eclipsing a few stars, it’s pretty inconspicuous.”

If it was that easy, the druggies would be using balloons every day, instead of building tunnel

“It will be lucrative and provide jobs for air ferrymen and the ground support who booby trap the surrounding roads near landing sites.”

Ever try landing a balloon in a designed spot? Not very easy, as the wind has a say in it. Every try landing a balloon on a dark night. Not very easy as the ground has a tendency to be quite unforgiving.

“I just need to decide whether to call it the Tortilla Flotilla or Eclipso Cruz Lines.”

Yuck, yuck, yuck.

There’s no hope for our Republic if a place like FR is taken over by open borders advocates. They certainly don’t belong on FR.

"I'm not talking about 100KV (100.000 volts)...I'm talking about a million volts or more, which is commonly used in long distance transmission, before it hits the distribution (substations) part of the grid."

LOL

The highest voltage Transmission Lines in use in America (that I am aware of) are 765KV.

Where did you get the "million volts" idea, because if it were even feasible, they would be using it today.

Fences don’t do much against heavily armoured vehicles and military style “incursions.”

Well if you shoot them they might reconsider...or throw a gernade.

I haven’t been able to find any video confirmation of these statements by Cain. However, I’ve heard enough of Cain’s rhetoric to know we’re headed down the garden path yet again.

Obama won the Whitehouse by saying anything that sounded good to the gullible ears of the uninformed majority. It
doesn’t take a mental heavy-weight to see how well that ploy worked on the American people. Say anything that sounds good; regardless of the intention to actually stand behind the statement or try to implement it. It’s the Nancy Pile-o-shi agenda. You have to elect him before you find out what’s really in his plans. Needless to say, they won’t be anything like his campaign crapola if he actually gets elected. I suspect Herman Cain is just another RINO with a better disquise than most.

I understand (from good sources) that there are transmission lines here in New Jersey (along the Jersey Turnpike) that exceed a million volts. That’s why the transmission towers are unusually high, with unusually big insulators, and located near nothing and no one. Nasty stuff, that.

The number of illegals detained at the border form 2007-2009 (300,000 range) is almost half of what it was from 2005-2007. And is MUCH lower than it was from 2000-2005.

What? Detained and sent back and they come back again..besides those who make it over aren't coming thru where the checkpoints are... theyre coming thru "open unfenced or ridculous ideas of what a fence should be borders" Further the numbers are a racket...just ask the border control guys.

Hell, I’m just getting warmed up! ;)

I want people to stop hiding behingd LIBERALISM and tall us WHY we have to kneel down and take it rather than physically defend our border. Did Washington ‘seal the border’ (figuratively speaking) against the British with words or muskets? Did our men and women in Iraq seal the green zone with free healthcare for AlQuida or a fence and firepower? Did Black Jack Pershing have an issue with using firepower over Mexican incursions? HELL NO! So I guess they were all heartless too. Of course, we’d be a divver3nt country, if a country at all, without them and their ‘violence’.

I have said repeatedly that the current lot of Freepers need to take stock of themselves and their beliefs and consider if they are in the right place. No American I ever heard of is against the use of deadly force to protect this country. Sure we all hope it won’t be needed, but to call people nuts etc shows they are on the wrong website.

With Herman Cain the question isn’t “How high the fence? The only question is “How high the voltage?”
