I do not think any candidate for President should say he is going to electrocute people at our border, or take away a ranchers land or deny his cattle access to water... sorry if you all think we should mine the border and shoot them all with machine guns like animals, I have seen that more and more have self-deported, our real issue is drugs, drugs, drugs and the war they have created in Mexico with people looking to get out and away from the violence. In a way it IS our problem since we are the people using the drugs that are causing the war......

I am thinking of a better way than mowing down our southern intruders. If we did mow them down, think of the international uproar that would follow. Think of what would happen if we chased the OWS crowd out of Times Square with bullets like was done in Yemen or Syria. So therefore, the technological method which I discussed in post #544 of this thread is the best way:

If we had a robust economy the illegal population would be much more manageable. We would be able to accommodate everyone. With the economy so bad, the luxury of so many illegals has raised up to bite us. We should have had by now the ability to slow down the influx so that the accommodation process is more manageable. We should be smart enough, as the most powerful nation on earth, to create a secure border. If it requires eyes in the sky, cameras, IR sensors, vibration sensors, proximity sensors, boots on the ground and the newest satellite mounted long-wavelength infra-red sensors then we must do it. No, easily defeated electric fencing with machine gun manned watch towers is old school. We don’t even do it along the border between North and South Korea.

What do we do to them once they are apprehended? Finger print them, DNA sample them and send them back over the boarder with the warning that if they are back, we will put them in internment camps with no way to get out for a long long time. We should not spend all that money to give them a second chance. That includes families, women, children, babies—everyone caught a second time. It will be a real internment camp. We have done them before. And the message will be clear to the families that had their poor Julio go over a second time: He won’t be back and he won’t be sending money back home.

We have a GIGANTIC MINE FIELD designed to stop North Korean troops and tanks up on the border.

BTW, regarding what the world will think if we stop Mexicans from coming in and limiting immigration by others ~ they'll probably applaud.

Remember, the legal immigration quotas will probably never increase, and in fact, may be reduced to make up for the oversubscription to Mexicans.

Regarding those stubborn cows who can't drink well water from a trough, the solution is we BUY THE COWS, then slaughter them, and have a gigantic ONE LAST TIME barbeque.

End of story.

I already answered it, but I’ll do it again. DO you shoot kids who cut across your front yard? The idea that crossing the border is a capital offence is for East Germany, China, the old Soviet Union. Kill murderers, not trespassers.

Geez, maybe we should electrocute people who sneak into movie theatres as well.

Do I think Cain was joking about seriously “containing” the border? Yes — or at least, I think that if it becomes unpopular, he will SAY he was joking.

I also think he is playing a joke on us if he is pretending he’ll build a fence around the entire border. First, because he won’t fence an inch of the gulf coast or the pacific ocean, even though both are our borders. Second because he’ll never build a fence across the entire border of Texas, a fact you would understand if you just pull up a google map and zoom in on the border and inspect a dozen miles of it.

If you do that, you will find that the “border” doesn’t follow the current river path. It crosses back and forth. So you’d have to build a fence that sometimes was in the middle of the river, sometimes on our side, sometimes on the other side. Except where the river has meandered enough, landowners actually OWN land on both sides of the border, which means you’d essentially build a fence across a person’s property, even though they have a natural right as a property owner to be on both sides.

Maybe you are one of those crazy people who think we should just give up the rights to a major river to Mexico, just so you can build a fence completely on our side.

Or worse, you think we should go to war with Mexico to take over the river so we can build the fence on THEIR side and cut THEM off from the river.

I know at least one freeper, when reminded that a fence on our side would kill off wildlife that depended on water access, said it was worth it to kill our desert ecosystem in Texas in order to “secure” our border.

That even though a good number of illegals came here legally, and then overstayed their welcome. The fence does nothing for that — what you need is real border security, and a real reform of our guest worker program. What is Cain’s plan to reform the guest worker program? Perry has been DEALING with border security for years as Governor of Texas, while Cain has DONE nothing at all. Of all the candidates, Perry is the ONLY candidate who has actually taken concrete STEPS to secure our border.

Meanwhile, you should feel bad, because you defended Cain, explaining why we should kill people who try to cross our border, and then Cain said you were stupid because you didn’t know he was joking.

Yep! A so-called Conservative Republican with a former Clinton campaign staffer on his bus. Like I said, it doesn’t take a mental heavy-weight to know something is rotten in Denmark.

Here we go again!
