Which part of “boots on the ground” and surveillance don’t you get — that is what Perry wants and that is the onlything that actually works to stop illegal border crossing.
DO you support putting a fence along the beach for the first 30 miles of the Gulf coast of Texas? After all, without a fence there, it is easier for the mexicans to come across, they just swim a hundred yards around the edge of the fence, or get some cheap flotation devices and paddle across.
Yet all the ‘we need a fence’ people never argue that a fence should be built along the beaches. Why not? Is it beause they actually understand the concept of “strategic fencing” and just want to make a political argument?
