A New Jersey high school teacher became the center of a Facebook controversy on Thursday after writing on the site that “homosexuality is a perverted spirit that has existed from the beginning of creation” and complaining about a school display recognizing October as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender History month.
The teacher, Viki Knox, posted a photo of a display from the school, Union High School in Union Township, on her personal Facebook page last week. It included photos of Virginia Woolf, Harvey Milk and Neil Patrick Harris. When a friend asked if the school had really put it up, Ms. Knox wrote that it had, and “I’m pitching a fit!”
In subsequent posts, Ms. Knox, who teaches special education classes, defended her views in lengthy exchanges with other Facebook users, referring at times to God and her Christian beliefs. A copy of the comments was provided to The New York Times; her Facebook page was removed from public view. News of Ms. Knox’s comments was first reported on Thursday morning by The Star-Ledger in Newark.
“The district is taking the matter very seriously,” said Union’s superintendent of schools, Patrick Martin. “We are running a thorough investigation. We will take all appropriate actions.”
Dr. Martin declined to comment further on the investigation, or Ms. Knox’s background, citing laws that protect the privacy of public employees.
The state’s teacher database showed that Ms. Knox had 12 years of experience in the district and that she earned $72,109 in 2010. Some residents and parents said that she also advised a student prayer group, and that, until now, she had not been involved in any controversies.
Ms. Knox did not respond to messages left at the school.

How is it that dems can only bring everyone together by separating them. The total inequality is glaring. Why is it okay for the teens to have a way of thinking outside the norm and have those feelings propped up by everyone, yet the teacher (who is entitled to have her own thoughts on ANY matter-it’s called freedom) has to be under scutiny for what she states in private? These libs know nothing of equality, only double standards. Here’s a crazy question...is she a good teacher? Maybe she should be judged on that.
I am really curious to know more of the reasoning behind that theory.
As it is, I’m not sure that anything in the bible supports that.

I am not certain but do note that in Genesis when the author speaks of Adam and Eve in the Garden and their interaction with the serpent— I seem to recall certain translations suggest—in the New Testament that Eve was wholly seduced/ beguiled by the evil one. Now if Eve was seduced-some suggest that was a sexual seduction.And I suppose Adam was likewise beguiled by that same being. I will look for the verses that such theory seems based upon. But I do not believe Eve ate an apple.
Chuck those false translations, because they lie. Eve was tempted with this false promise of satan: "ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil" (Genesis 3:5)
She ate. (Genesis 3:6)
She gave to her husband and he ate. (Genesis 3:6)
Their eyes were opened and they knew that they were naked and covered themselves. (Genesis 3:7)

Pinging my self to this, I think I might send Ms Knox a referral for a good lawyer, no reason she shouldn’t retire young at the School Administration’s expense.
Her only problem is if she interacted about such with her students or members of her prayer group, but even then it is private communications and the NJEA though loath to defend traditional Christian beliefs, will defend her right to 1st Amendment Rights in the private sphere. Almost every clause in New Jersey teacher contracts regarding propriety outside the workplace has been struck down by the courts over the last three decades.
ON that alone I doubt Union is going to do much more than ask her to keep quiet until the GLBT professional activists get bored of harping about it.
Posting a photo a Harvey Milk purely to celebrate him through his sexual identity in a public school is really indefensible in the age of AIDS education awareness,
What you post is true from what my KJV reads. Could not find the commentary I had on Genesis that recalled reading that
in. But in re-reading the Genesis account, again I am speculating, I think that author may have read the bit about
Eve saying the serpent beguiled her, and then might have skipped to the bit about emnity between the seed—and thought it was all about sex.But he cant claim she ate of the tree has a sexual translation —well maybe but My Strongs suggests the term suggests eating as in food. And beguiled means to delude/mislead.

Yep. It was feminists who gave us prohibition. It’s no coincidence that woman got the vote the same year that prohibition started.
No, Joe McCarthy was an anti-communist hero. He began uncovering the begining of the unraveling of America that was already in the planning stages in the fifties. The “alternative” lifestyle is part of Granscian Marxism which seeks to destroy human societies by degrading human beings. The plan is proceeding nicely.

I agree that Facebook is totally worthless.
Homosexuals can be given some space but they must respect others’ space as well and they are not doing that. They want to force everyone to accept what they do. They do not tolerate freedom of thought. They are always in people’s faces and are getting more extreme all the time with all of the victories that they have been winning.
I’m getting more than a little sick of being ruled my the minority.
