GOP White House hopeful Rick Perry said Tuesday evening that removing restrictions on U.S. energy production will be a central pillar of the economic plan he intends to unveil in coming days.
Clearly opening up a lot of the areas of our domestic energy . . . that is a the real key. You have got an administration that by and large has either by intimidation or over-regulation put our energy industry and the rest of the economy in jeopardy, Perry, the Texas governor, said early in Tuesdays debate in New Hampshire.
Clearly, we are going to be focused on initially the energy industry in this country and making American again independent, and clearly the place where domestic energy needs to be produced from, Perry said.

sort of obvious.
he did not have specificity and showed minimal preparedness.
“Drill, baby, drill” will not have the impact that he thinks it will have. Of course we should drill more, but he better have some plan to create jobs and lower taxes because drilling alone won’t do much for the economy.
ANWAR should be one of his first moves... Let the enviro whackos pound sand
First we remove all these restrictions and regulations put on by Obama and the wacko Democrats.
We begin drilling and refining, which puts people to work. The price of energy comes down, which puts more money back into the pockets of the people to create demands for other goods and service.
This is win/win for everyone.
Another look at the forestry industry, too.
Time to put EPA in their place!!
Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. May be ANWR?
Last night in the debate, @THEHermanCain asked Romney why his economic plan was so long—128 pages I believe.
Is this what the GOP nomination has come to? How many pages your plan has must be some sort of way to compensate for one’s shortcomings elsewhere.
Who really believes Romney’s 128 page economic plan will be implemented before it’s tossed aside in the early morning hours of Jan 20, 2013? (I use that date hypothetically)
They will even be buying homes.
Fracking is tried and true....and gas is CLEAN!!
But but AP says that Regulations don’t cost Jobs. Move on
Also need to get those drilling rigs back in the Gulf. Those guys moving their rigs down to Brazil put a LOT of Americans out of work.
I’ve glad that someone finally brought up the need for energy independence. That would solve a lot of problems in the US.
Brand new poll, shows Perry ahead of Obama by 6. Cain ahead of Obama by 1.
Come on just look at Texas. The rest of his plan will be coming out this week. Texas has jobs first out of barry’s depression meaning a good economy.
The comments follow an op-ed that Perry who has seen his standing drop in recent polls published in New Hampshires Union Leader calling for wider oil-and-gas drilling.
The op-ed calls for drilling in areas including Alaskas Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, as well as wider leasing off Alaskas Arctic coast, opening the Eastern Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic Coast to oil-and-gas development, faster permitting in Gulf areas where drilling is already authorized, and wider onshore oil and natural gas drilling.
It looks like some of Sarah Palin's knowledge and experience would be very useful in a Perry administration!
Drill Rick! Drill!
ROFLOL, they said they did a poll by a face book ad. LOL. HA, HA, the magic 8 ball is more reliable.
