Reality is not as you want it but as it is.
Damn skippy! It lowers energy cost and adds more jobs.
I built oil well caps as a young man.
We installed them in the NE Ohio countryside and I never saw a dead cow beside the well from the horror of it.
Most people don’t even notice the well.
Leaving money on the table is rarely wise. Believe what you like though.
“whoever gets the nomination will need a partner on the ticket with DC experience.”
Whoever gets the nomination will need a VP who can bring in substantial parts of the country’s vote, OR Cut Obama’s base off at the knees.
Uh.. RitaOK’s comment @ 1601 to South 40 was so offensive it was removed. So then again... who is posting offensive comments? Why not cut through this and just support your guy honestly without the personal attacks and vitriol for those who critique him? I still have not seen a good defense for Perry’s in-state tuition for illegals. Waiting for a good reason why they get something legal citizens from Arizona or New Mexico or wherever else can’t get. Just because someone has a differing opinion of your guy does not make them a “liar” or a “troll” (to quote RitaOK).
Folks need to focus on who the enemies are: Rats and RINOs.
That being said, one of the candidates that we saw tonight (excluding Obama) is going to be POTUS. NONE, repeat NONE of the candidates are perfect. In fact, most are FARRRRRRRRRR from it. But, with the exception of Romney (IMO), any of the GOP side would be an improvement over Obama, as Newt said last night.
Attacking each other is not productive. Attack the enemy.
“These people” don't like Rick Perry. Fine. “Those people” don't like Herman Cain. Fine. But, when discussing candidates, use that candidate's record, the facts about that person, in discussion. The personal crap is DU or Daily Kos stuff. Unfortunately, there has been a lot of idiotic shit thrown around FR the last month or two.
Save the fight for the true enemies. Right now, to me anyway, that means stopping Romney from being the GOP POTUS nominee.
I didn’t see it, but I take your word on it.
It’s that way all over. I don’t know why MORE unemployed aren’t flocking down here.
I get frustrated when I hear of so many being unemployed for so long and then are unwilling to come to where there ARE jobs!
That could be a strong ticket. If Gingrich is VP he could handle special projects.
Great idea Newt is like a bulldog, he is smart and knows his way around DC.
Yes, this is what I fear too that he wants a position under Romney.
But at this stage Cain is still the most interesting candidate in the race and if Romney gets it and he gives Cain something like VP for staying on Perry then F them both.
The bad thing is a Christie run would have taken votes from Romney and so now Romney doesnt have to split the RINO vote.
Fair enough.
Cain is running out of cash and running out of 999.
Let's say it together, onyx:
"You Hate Palin."
Cheers!
Please see my post in this thread, #1,788.
Folks need to tone the rhetoric down a few notches and focus on the enemies.
Thank you! I sincerely mean it.
Actually, the number is 13 which is clearly not 'most'.
State Actions
In June 2001, Texas (HB1403) was the first state to pass legislation allowing in-state tuition for immigrant students, followed by California (AB540), Utah (HB144), and New York (SB7784) in 2001-2002; Washington (HB1079), Oklahoma (SB596) and Illinois (HB60) in 2003; Kansas (HB2145) in 2004; New Mexico (SB582) in 2005; Nebraska (LB239) in 2006; Wisconsin (A75) in 2009; Maryland (S167/H470) and Connecticut (H6390) in 2011.
States that have barred unauthorized immigrant students from in-state tuition benefits include Arizona (Proposition 300, 2006), Colorado (HB 1023, 2006), Georgia (SB 492, 2008), South Carolina (HB4400, 2008), and Indiana (H 1402, 2011).
You think million dollar bundlers will continue to finance a campaign like that? A major campaign needs a steady flow of scores of $2500 donors which Perry will not get any longer.
Very kindly welcomed and accepted.
