"The fact that he continues to defend his stance is troubling," said Justin Pulliam, a member of the Texas Aggie Conservatives. "He's not an all-around conservative candidate."

Nice to see that they are now teaching Intro to Logic at Texas A&M.

I just read that KS also has this law, but a freshman lawmaker from Wichita, Leslie Osterman, tried to get it repealed in 2011. The repeal measure died in a state Senate committee.

Typically, when the people closest to you start questioning your integrity, then it’s over.

Perry went to A&M, and he’s not fooling them.

I don’t think Perry can win unless he makes a 180 on this.

And I am not sure Perry’s personality will allow him to cave on this after he has dug in.

Everything else is meaningless, this one issue is what’s killing him.

Pure BS...we're a family of Aggies and are smart enough to know what took place. Rick Perry became governor in late December of 2000, this legislation hit his desk in April 2001. It was veto proof legislation.

We also agree with Rick Perry and Texas stance on in state tuition. IF you have NO laws on the books, illegals go to colleges throughout the USA falling under the identical requirements of Legal American Students, there are 38 states that have NO law. Republicans in Texas wanted to control that...the law in Texas for in state tuition is one of the toughest laws in the USA with a few exceptions.

You people need to get real...while we argue over in state tuition this country is going off the cliff. There is only one man running that has a record to prevent this. Texas is already out the recession...which is barry's depression throughout the rest of the country. Wise UP!!!

[You might go back through Rush's information he has provided on hispanics. In short if Republicans want to win elections you can't lose the Hispanic vote.]

Is the Bryan Eagle a liberal rag piling on? Help me out here, Aggies.

One poster said that the wetb@ck tuition was the only reason for his decline. I digress. His debate performance must be added to that. Pitiful.

In any event Aggies should be more concerned about their entrance to the SEC where they will get beat like a drum and supplant Vanderbilt as the conference’s laughing stock.

Ah the words of advise from a 20-year-old who probably immediately went to his Facebook page and told all his friends how cool it was he was interviewed by the news. He probably then went to the Dixie Chicken and ran up more charges on his Daddy's credit card!

I am a Aggie and I don't particularly like Rick Perry either. But using a college kids to slam Rick Perry is ridiculous. College kids think about (in order) sleeping, sex, eating, Facebook, partying and occasionally studying. They will say or do anything you want, whether they are a liberal or conservative.

BTW...College boy can look for an "all-around conservative" all he wants because he like the rest of us is going to get Mitt Romney shoved down his and our throats.
