Ack, the headline reminds me of a grade school report card. While there seems to be no way to predict to what end Team Romney may eventually calculate itself, most every "smart" move they make serves to confirm how unsuitable Romney is for what's needed right now. He appears to be completely out of touch.
Naturally, he's sensitive to being painted as a rich white Republican, which he is, for the most part. So, I get why the brain trust would think, hey, let's not go too hard on this Wall Street stuff. Maybe we need to back off a bit.
While GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain continues to barrage the Occupy Wall Street protesters for being un-American and anti-capitalism, his fellow Republican contender Mitt Romney has pared back his previously harsh words for the protesters. At a campaign stop today in New Hampshire, Romney said blaming Wall Street for the countrys economic woes is the wrong way to go.
The problem is, the entire activist Right knows this Wall Street nonsense is a sham, put on and supported by both the establishment and activist Left. And now we have a guy, perhaps the front runner on our side, out there validating it because he and his team care only about what the NYTs and the Washington Post think.
This isn't going to change. The smarter they try to be, the more they are likely to remind conservatives Romney represents everything they've grown sick of over the last decade. At times, it's as if, I'd like to support this guy because I can see the advantages. I'm not stupid. But when so much of what a campaign does means you have to work just that much harder to get yourself to a point where you can support him, one wonders how much energy you'd have left to do much of anything, assuming you even can talk yourself into it. The frustration quotient with this guy is ridiculous. Worse, it all too often appears to be coming from his not knowing what he is, as opposed to what anyone else may think of him.
Mitt does not do authenticity.
Ping
Mitt just isn’t comfortable among mortal humans.
“Wall Street” is mostly Dems.
Why would anyone want to defend them?
The high earning achievers are not “Wall Street.”
Mitt needs a good dose of ‘sincerification’!
Mitt Romney: Abortion
I believe abortion should be safe and legal in this country.
I will preserve and protect a woman's right to choose.
I am not going to change our pro-choice laws in Mass. in anyway.
