"...It probably irks Mitt to have to discuss his faith in this way, but the Mormon debate could be of net benefit to his campaign.
...True, there is a small but significant minority who say they would never vote for a Mormon. According to Gallup, its around 22 percent of the population. But opposition to Mormonism doesnt come from conservative Evangelicals or Catholics. On the contrary, Gallups polls show that its a liberal thing. Only 7 percent of Baptists and Catholics wouldnt vote for a Mormon, compared with 32 percent of gays and 49 percent of atheists. Amusingly, the figure is also much, much higher among Mormons, at 22 percent. Thats right, 22 percent of Mormons would never vote for a Mormon. Perhaps they know something we dont."

Read certain things in the bible, if taken literally, some are rather horrific.
(Yeah, if Romney gets the nomination, just think of the MSM shining its light on them & making GOP voters look absolutely foolish for putting him as their "front-man" image! The GOP would never be the same. The conservative base would realize that the RINOs have taken over the party & leave it in droves!)
...Lets not forget Glenn Beck is a devot Morman. Where does that put him with us??
We haven't forgot. On the one hand, Beck is a convert Mormon & may not be as steeped in every nuance of Mormonism as is the case with Utah-based heritage Mormons. But make no mistake, Deseret products (owned by the Mormon church) puts out a "testimony" by Beck and labels it @ their Web site as a "missionary tool."
Are we being duped by everyone?
Yes. If Beck has allowed himself to be the equivalent of a fellow "missionary" for the Mormon church, that says it all!
But not every Christian denomination brands every other as "apostates" (like the Mormon church does with every Protestant, Catholic, and Orthodox church body).
When Smith said right out of the starting block that the Mormon church was the "only true and living church on the face of the earth" (Lds "scripture" Doctrine & Covenants 1:30), that implied all others were false and dead...and the Lds church has made more than enough statements since then so that we don't have to wonder about implications.
Mormons have joined the long-standing Muslim chorus they've sung about Christians for over 1,000 years -- that the Christians are all "infidels." How "nice" of the Mormons to be singing in full harmony with the Muslims, eh?
As far as I know, the Bible doesn't talk about Mary's conception. Why should it?
None of the Mormon sacred books talks about her specific "spiritual" conception, either, in Kolob. (More eisegesis from you & other Lds).
Mormon garments are worn once you go through the LDS temple. They are given during a pre endowment ritual called ‘washing and annointing’ and they are instructed to wear them all the time.
There are several ‘faith promoting rumors’ of them protecting faithful “worthy” LDS from fires and gunshots as well as reminding them of the oaths they take in the LDS temple.
Older members were instructed (or believed) that they had to be worn during bathing and even during sex, but those restrictions have been loosened over the years.

Obama, Axelrod and Co. will NOT be as kind as FReepers.
BTW, I thought you gave your Opus? Or was that just another lie?
And who might these so-called "conservatives" be?
If your implication is that his Baptist background was somehow some "stamp of approval" of his worthiness as a candidate, hey, wolves in sheep's clothing comes in many different Halloween costume styles.
This should help clear things up:
.
Then that’s an Obama vote.
He is counting on you. All of the Democrats are, Thats why they want Romney to run.
Please do. Post it far and wide to get the word out that Romney is a disaster. Thank you.
Different is good for public relations. Public relations is good for Romney.
Certainly was that way back in Smith and Young's day...and things like that..don't really change much.
I've seen it before...within LDS, Inc. A blind eye here, a blind eye there...if you are a "bigshot" within "the Church".
The so called “original” Christian church, the Catholics, have taught that all Protestant churches are apostate for centuries. What’s your point, that Mormons & Catholics are on the same page as to this issue?
Hear of any reports lately regarding Mormons blowing people up like some Christians & Muslims have been doing in other parts of the world?
Doctrinal differences aside, Mormons believe in being honest, virtuous, & charitable to their fellow man. They’re great neighbors & friends.
I’m not a big fan of Romney, in part because I don’t believe he’s always been true to his religion which gives me cause for concern whether or not I believe in his church. I am backing Cain at this point, but one could do far worse than Romney.........Like Obama! Far worse.
With every post...you expose your ignorance.
First and foremost....if we think for one minute...the LEFT won't attack Romney for his membership in what many smart people think is a nutty cult. You are crazy. And it won't be pretty.
Secondly....Romney's history is that of a flip-flopping RINO...And then we will be STUCK with another Dole / McCain...DEFEAT!!!
My Momma taught me to never argue with fools, so buh bye.
You may not have problems with the Mormon religion, but leftists do. They harassed the heck out of Romney in Barneyland.
