Voter anxiety on Romney's faith lifts Perry
Financial Times ^ | 10/9/2011 | Stephanie Kerchgaissner

...Mr Romney, the former Massachusetts governor who leads the Republican field of candidates for president, has never been able to shake off doubts over whether evangelical Christians would support him if he became the nation’s first Mormon nominee.

snip

Charlie Cook, a political analyst, predicts that Republicans will see a drawn out contest between Mr Romney, who has limited credibility with hardcore conservative voters, and Mr Perry, who is ideologically in line with conservatives but has not made a smooth transition from the governor’s mansion in Texas to the national stage. The two will spar at another debate on Tuesday night in New Hampshire.

I used to own a real estate business with a man who was a deacon in the Mormon church. He said it was the mission of the Mormon church to become as wealthy as it could so as to be as powerful as it could. That really creeped me out.

I also have a nephew who married a Mormon. He had to convert and take classes in order to do so. THEY WOULD NOT ALLOW ANY OF US TO EVEN SEE THE WEDDING, AS IT WAS IN TEMPLE AND SCUMBAGS LIKE US NON-MORMONS WERE NOT ALLOWED IN.

If they think I am "too unclean" to be in their stupid temple then they can go suck an egg. No way I am voting for Mr. Special Underwear. Not that that is the only reason I dislike the fellow; his political history is a nightmare.

Not only that, but if they really believe in their "prophet", how do they denounce plural marriage when it was one of his most ardent beliefs?

Well I’m a Perry supporter and I don’t condemn calling a spade a spade. I believe Mormonism is an abomination of Christianity and have no problem with enlightening other Christians to that fact. I, personally, have no more intention of voting for a Mormon than I do an atheist or Muslim.

I have no intention to vote for that Mormon either.

Calling a spade a spade isn't necessarily a smart position to take whilst in the midst of a national political campaign, Why PO millions of likely voters?

The Mormons helped pass California’s Proposition 8 which defined marriage as being only between a man and a woman. They are conservatives. Why PO millions of conservatives when you want their vote?

I'm no fan of Perry's. But if he expects to win a national election he should steer clear of this issue.

Romney’s religion does not bother me one bit.

His support of Romneycare and his flip flops on abortion are my major concrens.

A flip flopper is basically dishonest.

All these elitists who oppose Perry make me sick.

According to them, it's somehow a requirement to have normal or high intelligence to be President.

These elitists probably also think that the USA and Mexico should be separate countries.

Heartless elitists. Make me want to puke.

If Rick Perry’s positions are so much like those in California, how come so many people are leaving California and coming to Texas?

After we finish with the Mormon attack, do we then go after the Jews.

If Romney wants to put the issue behind him, he should explain exactly what Mormans believe.

Mormans believe that Jesus Christ is not the only begotten Son of God. They believe that we all (including Jesus and Satan) are spirit children that mature like the human body does to become gods themselves. They do not consider Jesus to be their Lord and Savior. To them Jesus is a fully evolved spirit child, and thus Mormans are not Christians.

In the after death a Morman man who has been married for eternity in the Morman temple gets his own planet to populate and rule over. (Fife) In addition Morman women are given special names that only their husbands know so the husband can pull them through to the other side after death. (Laake) (What happens to the poor single Moman women after death? Who is going to pull her through? Just asking.)

Does this sound like anything you learned in Sunday School? God's Word says there is no other God like Him, a just God and a Savior.

My post is not about the First Amendment. It is a clarification between the Mormanism and Christianity.

California residents pay high state income tax. Texas residents pay none. California home and/or property owners pay high property taxes relevant to the artificially inflated property values in the state. Property values and home prices in Texas are much lower and thus property owners pay less in property taxes. If you really didn’t know this you do now.

lol! It's Jerry Perry. Both adhere to the liberal position that ILLEGAL invaders deserve taxpayer subsidized handouts but only one is honest enough to admit he is a liberal.

On the chance you got the wrong impression from my post, I am NOT a Perry supporter.

I should add that at this point, I am not a Cain supporter either.

Presently, and likely to change... I am a ‘none of the above’ supporter. LOL
