Chanting The whole world is watching! the Occupy DC protesters tried to storm the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum today. They pinned a guard against the wall. The mob forced the museum to shut its doors early.
Hey, didnt we see the tea party do this sorta thing too? NBC Washington reported on the violent mob outing.
According to Smithsonian spokesperson Linda St. Thomas, a crowd of about 100 to 200 people tried to enter through the museums Mall entrance.
They were carrying signs and a lot of protest materials, St. Thomas said in a statement. You cannot bring that stuff into the museum under any circumstances.
According to St. Thomas, the crowd tried to shove its way into the museum after being denied entry by security.
One security guard was grabbed and pinned against the wall. He could not extract himself, the spokesperson said. Another security guard came over to help him and ended up pepper-spraying one person.
Videos quickly circulated online showing Smithsonian security telling protesters to get back while protesters and bystanders covered their faces to shield themselves from the pepper spray. At least one person was seen writhing on the ground in apparent agony.

When I last went to the Air a& Space Museum three years ago or so it looked like they had pretty impressive security there. But I guess all that security was a government-union illusion, a Potemkin Village. Do the Metropolitan DC Police have any jurisdiction there? These people should have been gassed at least so that regular tax payers and foreign visitors could visit the museum with a minimum of disruption.
Who is responsible for letting this go on for more than 20 seconds?

My guess is one of the herd grunted “Hey! That sign says, uhhh . . . Air and, uh, Space, man! That’s like, bombers, and military stuff, and the rape of the solar system! Get ‘em!”

can they NOT SEE how truly stupid they are? I'll bet many of the businesses whom they may be searching for jobs with in the near future can see how truly stupid they are.

And the Thug in Chief continues to encourage these people as does Pelosi...I say they are complicit in any violence. Someone needs to pressure The Hague to file charges against these people if anyone gets hurt.

If they are going to storm a museum, why a government funded one. Why not storm the Phillips? Privately funded by evil capitalists! Carots everywhere! Think of the damage they could do.

The world is watching for the same reason I am watching this mosquito buzzing around me right now: not because I have any care for it, but because it is good at pestering me.

I think we’re working up to a plan of destroying symbols of American exceptionalism and the Air and Space museum certainly contains them.

I wonder why those commie punks didn't try to storm the Capitol building? It's not very far from the Air & Space museum. Oh, that's right, their favorite Democrats are working there.
I guess next they'll try for the Archives Building and try to tear up the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. How about the Smithsonian Natural History Museum? I mean didn't white, capitalist America steal all of those artifacts from some poor oppressed indigenous people somewhere on earth?
If these clowns were for real all they have to do is march about mile or two down the National Mall and they'd find the source of their frustration living in a building called the White House (now known as the White Hut.)

The occupy “insert location here” crowd are the angry, bolshevik mobs of current day America. They sense trouble, and in their troubled state they are being steered by outside forces to advance the outsider’s agenda.

I have to correct myself here - my memory ain't quite as tack-sharp as it used to be. It was NASA HQ I was assigned to, not Air & Space. The brain cells are going gray along with the hair. LOL I was transferred there after two years packing heat at DOJ. Went plain-clothes (unarmed) and worked another three in internal security at the Five-Sided Rathole after that. Got sick of the whole damned business after a fashion and went into IT in the late 90's.
Regardless, I'd have still pumped a lead enema up a few keisters.
"But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away, for his name is Obama."
