Here is an article with some quotes: Rick Perry: I Am a Conservative ......."At the mention of a new leader in the White House, the crowd gave Perry a standing ovation.
The Texan made sure his audience knew that his economic policies as governor helped spur job growth during a recession. As governor, he kept taxes low, regulation limited, and advocated tort reform all of which he said made the Texas economy stronger. He vowed to implement the same policies for the entire nation if he becomes president.
"The only kind of stimulus that will work is the kind that puts more money in your pocket, not the governments," he said.".......
Thank you for the link, Cincinatus.
Thanks to all who get the Perry links up, Smooth, Clarity...several of y’all.
I appreciate the work—getting the Perry information gathered and posted.
I’m very interested in Perry and many things get posted that I would have otherwise missed.
Thanks...
I watched both the Perry speech and the Cain speech. They both did a good job. Cain gave a more emotional speech consistent with his being a political neophyte. Perry gave a more measured account as he spoke of his 11 years of experience as Governor of Texas and how he would translate his successful economic record and achievements to the beltway politics of WashDC.
Thanks. I saw Santorum in the morning session C-SPAN archive and I saw Cain, along with Newt in the afternoon session C-SPAN archive but Perry was not to be found.
I listened to the speech and recommend all my FRiends listen for themselves.
Governor Perry speaks with a clear positive voice that is easily understood by all Americans. Make no mistake, it is a conservative voice; that will again take up the torch handed off by President Ronald Reagan.
Thank you for this thread and also for the link to the article with the quotes.
Do you ever sleep? Or do you get paid by the post?
I hope these are truly his convictions. I hope he realizes that the family values, teen pregnancy, incarceration, jobs, our culture, all of it is jeopardized by the millions of foreigners invading our country.
When he says he will not give amnesty, I hope he isnt using McCains definition.
When he talks about the trouble in Europe, I hope he recognizes that immigration, just like here, is changing the demographics and values.
If he can pull himself back up in the polls, I hope the rest of the pack can see what we want.
You have done well. Appreciate your hard work to illuminate his words at the VVS.
On another thread, an article called Perry a “Progressive”, that wasn’t the article’s theme, it was just a passing reference to make a different point.
Yeah, right. Every “Progressive” believes and advocates and practices what Governor Perry does. LOL
Such as:
Low taxes.
Low regulation.
State rights under the 10th Amendment.
Pro Founding Fathers and Founding Documents.
Pro traditional values of family and faith and freedom.
Pro American Exceptionalism. (America as the light of freedom and economic opportunity in a dark world)
Pro Israel (Specifically thanked them for bombing Iraq’s nuclear reactor and later Syria’s nuclear program)
IF you'd rather NOT be pinged FReepmail me.
IF you'd like to be added FReepmail me. Thanks.

This Perry supporter up in Alaska says this is actually what is taking place. We see the blind leading the blind:
It has been said that history doesn't repeat; rather it echoes.
The echo this time around is the tag team routine shaping up with Cain and Romney vs Perry. In 2008, Huckabee stayed in the race after he had no money in order to split the conservative anti-McCain vote. This hurt Romney and gave the nomination to McCain. Cain, with his race baiting reaction against Perry (the painted rock story of the Washington Post) and his statements that he would consider running as VP with any other candidate in the field except Perry (even Huntsman??? - YGTBSM) are telling.
It is always a good idea to keep track of who the left is publicly going after, as it tells you who they are most scared of. In 2008, it was Palin. In 2010, it was Christine O'Donnell and Rand Paul. This election cycle, that target is Perry. They fired a 7-page, race baiting hit piece in the Washington Post this week. Democrats are talking about introducing a resolution in congress condemning Perry for the allegations in the bogus story. You don't do this to a candidate unless you are terrified of what they will do to you if elected. This is fast approaching the Palin treatment.
In contrast, Cain has had to dodge none of this. Contrast that with what the media and democrats did with the last black conservative they were scared of - Clarence Thomas. Then ask yourself, why isn't Cain getting the same treatment? An obvious conclusion is that the left is not scared of him and are giving him a free ride. This ought to give all of us pause.
The left and democrats ALWAYS tell us who they are scared of. They always tell us who the strongest conservative is. This election cycle, that candidate is Rick Perry. Which for the time being is good enough for me. Cheers -
Good stuff! Thanks for posting
