The real Bligh was. in fact, a great sailor. In reality, Obama was the Christian, because he led the crew to disaster.

"Cain needs to clarify his stance here."He seriously needs to clarify his conception of individual state's laws regarding the Second Amendment.

Seems you are the only one all that bothered about this. Grunthor just pointed it out and moved on gracefully. But hey, thanks for bringing it up again, it adds to your post count for those keeping track of those kind of things.

OK, I pushed the analogy past its usefulness.
Yes, depending upon your point of view, Bligh did represent the Crown, and his open boat voyage was one of history's greatest. And yes, Pitcairn's Island became a proptotype for Lord of the Flies, unleashing barbarism that resonated through ensuing generations.
However, reading that as a freshman in high school within the wintry confines of my suburban Chicago home, and then watching Gable flesh it out, sent me cheering for those mutineers to return to that lovely figment paradise, and caused me to go to Hawaii for college when the time came.
So, in MY analogy, Tahiti is the dreamland of small Constitutional government, and the dashing Fletcher is the man with the vision to get us back to that paradise. Please forgive my poetic license.

I know my opinion doesnt make much difference one way or another but I sure wish Herman Cain would get the nomination and perhaps have Sarah Palin for VP. Just like many of my friends I am getting sick and tired of party hacks like Mitt Romney as I do believe he is just another Obama warmed over.
With Romney nominated I do believe a lot of people will not even bother to vote. This country needs some one not just to tap the brake before the car goes over the cliff, but some one who turns this stinking mess around 180 degrees and I do believe Herman Cain is the candidate least tainted by politics. I may be wrong but I dont think so.

I’m concerned that Herman Cain might peak too soon, get hammered by the MSM over anything, everything, and nothing, and then, a RINO ends up as the final ‘12 GOP Presidential choice, yet again!

Late to this thread...but Love Cain. My only fear is that he’ll pull a Perot. Wants to run for pres but has, in his mind, no chance to win. Suddenly sees he can possible win and does something stupid ON PURPOSE to drop out because he just wanted to run but not win...Just feel like I’m waiting for his other shoe to drop. I HOPE I’M TOTALLY WRONG ON THIS, but... I Hope I’m wrong. Had to put it out there though.

Zogby’s polls have been known to be dubious at times. But I hope this one isn’t.

Only time will tell if this is an outlier.
Cain is definitely gaining momentum, and I personally think he has the right stuff to keep it.
