In today's world, if they went to Trial, and got a "Jury of their Peers", they would find them Not Guilty, I assure you.
Juries are made up today of people who could care less about what the Law says; they vote to make a societal statement, and that is true in Criminal Cases, and most assuredly true in Civil "Ambulance-Chaser" Cases.
Was it Shakespeare who said "shoot the Lawyers"?
