LOS ANGELES, Calif. (KTLA) -- Police converged on a crowd of protesters outside a downtown Bank of America branch.

The participants in the protest organized by the Refund California campaign marched into the bank and tried to cash a check for $673 billion.

It was an over-sized check made out to the "people of California," LAPD Lt. Paul Vernon said.

Actually, that one was kind of funny. Funnier than sleeping on the sidewalk in a pool of your own feces, at least.

I really don't think they'll face serious prosecution for a the 600 billion dollar check thing.

If Tea Party people did this in protest, nobody here would be calling for their heads. Get them for trespassing on private property. That's their real crime, since being smelly is still legal.

“In Islamic context it means to strive against one’s own evil inclinations”

yeah, right. Like these pig swivers strive to behead infidels, become homicide bombers, fly planes into buildings and stone women to death for being raped or dating a boy who is not a muzzie. All allowed and encouraged by the unholy dungbook, the koran. I agree with Manc

They may have been stopped this time but themore radical elements will up the ante. It’s going to get cold in the East soon and that will dampen these protests somewhat. But in the warmer climates, I’d be careful. It’s not going to start at the foot of some big institution (like a State Capitol)..it will be at a bank branch,a corporate building, etc. And it will likely happen in Ca. first..imho.

Stay vigilant. And watch out for Republican campaign HQ’s for any candidate in any city.

Not sticking up for the protesters but the “greedy” sports stars and entertainers only take money from the stupid.
