And a reason why I like the guy.
I should add, that my reaction is based on the fact that the article says he “went on to blame the unemployed,” which I read as a subject matter change and referring to the unemployed at large, not the idiot career moonbats occupying some street corner. Again, I hope that isn’t the case, but if is...
Finally, someone that will tell it like it is. I agree
If this is actually how it “went down” - not a good way to say it.
There are ways to state this fact without coming across in a negative way.
The attitude that makes (or made?) this country great.
Cain is right. Self Reliance, not whinny dependence is the key to success.
This right here is why Conservatives continually lose in politics. You let the opposition defined the terms on the battle field of ideas. When one of your own trys to change that paradime, you shoot him in the back instead of supporting him.
Cowardice and shamless pandering is not leadership.
“I kinda like clinging to my guns and bible.” - Herman Cain
Do you think that these airheads were ever going to vote for Herman Cain or any other conservative Republican? I don't, and Cain probably doesn't either.
It depends on who he’s referring to.
If he’s referring to the unemployed in general, he just stepped in it big time, and it’ll be used against him in the future.
He needs to clarify exactly what he meant by this comment.
Seems Watford City ND is growing like crazy. Job opportunities abound. Less than 1.5 day drive from Wall St., which has nothing to do with protesters’ complaints.
“I don’t know whether this is accurate...”
Why would you post this if you’re not sure? Sounds like you’re trying to color the water. Who’s being asinine. Try to refrain from being a useful idiot for the Left, or other Republican candidates-unless, of course, you’re stumping for another candidate.
I loved his response. Your post is just the typical Blame the Other Party for Anything Bad mantra.
Cain is 100% correct; if you are coveting what other people have, that means you 'don't have' and that is your own fault.
Only the uber-touchy are going to hear what he said and think he was attacking anyone who has lost their job.
I saw this interview. This is taken so far out of context it is ludicrous.
This is precisely the message obama constituents don’t wanna hear.
To quote Pogo, “We Have Met The Enemy, And He Is Us”.
“He should be placing the blame squarely on Obama and the growth-killing policies of the federal government...”
While I don’t have a problem with what Cain said to a bunch of commie rabble-rousers making a mess on Wall Street and trashing free enterprise, I will agree with you on the above. Attack Obama, and keep the focus on him and out of control government.
There’s no one else TO blame. He’s talking to the lowest scum of the earth, “Occupy Wall Street” urchins. I think it’s refreshing that someone finally is telling it like it is. This is a much deserved cold slap in the face to the “gimme” crowd.
This is EXACTLY what we need.
The Marxists are always talking about “maximizing the contradictions” or some such.
What we need to do in the election is maximize the contrast with Zero, as Ronald Reagan did with Jimmy Carter.
This is NOT the right election to triangulate.
We need to present the American people with the clearest contrast possible between bankruptcy, socialism and misery offered by Zero on the one hand and freedom, opportunity and prosperity on the other hand.
I’ve seen the interview.
IMO, not going to play well with the guy or gal who is delivering pizza with no benefits to support their family while sending out 80 resumes a week trying to replace a job that moved overseas, or their friends.
One of the beauties of the Hermanator (sp?) is he can tell it like it is because he’s not white. Cain 2012! Of course, he could be a great VP too ;)
You want a job?
Get out of bed at 5AM, put on your boots and hit the street.
You'll find work in a week.
