Occupy Wall Street! Collective statement of the protesters… (Bill Ayers)
Bill Ayers ^ | 10/05 | Bill Ayers

Posted on 10/06/2011 9:43:05 AM PDT by mnehring

What follows is the first official, collective statement of the protesters in Zuccotti Park:

As we gather together in solidarity to express a feeling of mass injustice, we must not lose sight of what brought us together. We write so that all people who feel wronged by the corporate forces of the world can know that we are your allies.

As one people, united, we acknowledge the reality: that the future of the human race requires the cooperation of its members; that our system must protect our rights, and upon corruption of that system, it is up to the individuals to protect their own rights, and those of their neighbors; that a democratic government derives its just power from the people, but corporations do not seek consent to extract wealth from the people and the Earth; and that no true democracy is attainable when the process is determined by economic power. We come to you at a time when corporations, which place profit over people, self-interest over justice, and oppression over equality, run our governments. We have peaceably assembled here, as is our right, to let these facts be known.

They have taken our houses through an illegal foreclosure process, despite not having the original mortgage. They have taken bailouts from taxpayers with impunity, and continue to give Executives exorbitant bonuses. They have perpetuated inequality and discrimination in the workplace based on age, the color of one’s skin, sex, gender identity and sexual orientation. They have poisoned the food supply through negligence, and undermined the farming system through monopolization. They have profited off of the torture, confinement, and cruel treatment of countless animals, and actively hide these practices. They have continuously sought to strip employees of the right to negotiate for better pay and safer working conditions. They have held students hostage with tens of thousands of dollars of debt on education, which is itself a human right. They have consistently outsourced labor and used that outsourcing as leverage to cut workers’ healthcare and pay. They have influenced the courts to achieve the same rights as people, with none of the culpability or responsibility. They have spent millions of dollars on legal teams that look for ways to get them out of contracts in regards to health insurance. They have sold our privacy as a commodity. They have used the military and police force to prevent freedom of the press. They have deliberately declined to recall faulty products endangering lives in pursuit of profit. They determine economic policy, despite the catastrophic failures their policies have produced and continue to produce. They have donated large sums of money to politicians, who are responsible for regulating them. They continue to block alternate forms of energy to keep us dependent on oil. They continue to block generic forms of medicine that could save people’s lives or provide relief in order to protect investments that have already turned a substantial profit. They have purposely covered up oil spills, accidents, faulty bookkeeping, and inactive ingredients in pursuit of profit. They purposefully keep people misinformed and fearful through their control of the media. They have accepted private contracts to murder prisoners even when presented with serious doubts about their guilt. They have perpetuated colonialism at home and abroad. They have participated in the torture and murder of innocent civilians overseas. They continue to create weapons of mass destruction in order to receive government ontracts.*

To the people of the world, We, the New York City General Assembly occupying Wall Street in Liberty Square, urge you to assert your power.

Exercise your right to peaceably assemble; occupy public space; create a process to address the problems we face, and generate solutions accessible to everyone.

To all communities that take action and form groups in the spirit of direct democracy, we offer support, documentation, and all of the resources at our disposal.

You’ve hit on something I was trying to point out the other day. They seem to be morphing their message under the false guise of freedom and liberty and they even have a lot of Ron Paul supporters out there with them (and all the major Ron Paul websites are promoting this.)

This is some weird amalgamation of Socialists and Libertarians demanding a form of Liberty that ‘frees’ them from work as though the corporations that hire them are somehow governmental slave-owners.

Watch for the left to go into full counter-revolutionary mode to attempt to drown out the popular uprising from the right, Tea Party, etc.

If this catches on, look for Obama and higher up Democrats to go all in with it for self-preservation. I predict Obama will attempt to use this foment like he used the youth vote in 2008. The unions are already on board.

This pimp would burn this country to the ground for self-preservation and to get re-elected.

Those videos of Reverend Wright will be a good thing for Fox News to replay when the crap begins to hit the fan.

True enough.

While Hitler had a longstanding hatred of the Jews, the original anger was fomented against the greedy rich and bankers. From there it didn’t take long to distill “the rich” down to the Jewish shop owners who lived in an appartment above their small shop.

Several Law Enforcement officers were killed by their bombs. Ayers led the group, Dohrn was actually convicted of killing at least one.

The only smart Marxist is an ex Marxist who has seen the wisdom of conservatism. The rest are just an ignorant mob.

How many people stop to wonder what their rebel passions and fears mean in their lives? I may not like the fact that Walmart is full of Chinese goods, but I’ve never worried about a Walmart agent coming to my home to verify EPA compliance, inspect safety compliance, search my gun safe, tell me what light bulbs I can use or how much water my toilet can use. Walmart doesn’t audit my taxes, or make me let some Islamic lowlife pat me down at the airport. I don’t have to use the bank I use, and I don’t have to use the electricity I use. I don’t have to drive a car from a company I don’t like, or buy gas at a station I don’t like. Given a choice between big business and corporations or government. I’ll take the former. Government will never be more than a necessary evil.

As far as I’m concerned, any “conservative” who joins these anarchist scumbags, may as well pin the swastika on their collar right now.

This is exactly how the nazis did this. They collected widely diverse groups (Some of which hated hitler and the nazis) and united them against a common enemy. In the end, nobody but the nazis got what they wanted.

Is it a coincidence that the unrepentant domestic terrorist Bill Ayers emerges as a face of this Occupation movement on the same day as it is being reported that several influential New York lawmakers have received threatening emails saying it is “time to kill the wealthy” if they don’t renew the state’s tax surcharge on the millionaires?

Cite? If you mean the Rosenberg, Boudin, Gilbert robbery, that was post-Underground, and short of being sympathetic, BA and BD weren’t involved. You can bet that they’re lobbying BO to get Gilbert released, but they can’t be tied to the LEO murders. The targets of their bombings were buildings, not people. Warnings were issued in time to clear people out.

“As we gather together in solidarity to express a feeling of mass injustice, we must not lose sight of what brought us together.”

The head communist speaks. Nice of you to show yourself, Bill. Americans get to see what a TRAITOR looks like. “Solidarity”? You still smoke dope, too? We KNOW what YOUR agenda is, but apparently you don’t know that WE know what the agenda of 99% of your “protesters” is- the party.

“We come to you at a time when corporations, which place profit over people, self-interest over justice, and oppression over equality, run our governments. We have peaceably assembled here, as is our right, to let these facts be known.”

“Facts”? Would you know one if it bit you on the butt? C’mon Bill- a smart guy like you, with all your degrees in “education” (snicker), HAS to know that businesses, small to large, are NOT in business to “create jobs”. Surprise surprise! they did it to MAKE MONEY. Otherwise there is NO reason to take the risk, invest the time, talent and money to succeed. Oh right- I sometimes forget that you and your ilk actually know very little about talent, self-determination and hard work. Sorry. Contrary to what you believe, corporations do NOT “oppress” people- governments do. That is, admittedly, a fine point that communists don’t seem to understand.
I expect your little bunch of brain dead school kids will be “peaceable” until they get bored and start looting and burning police cars.

“They have taken our houses through an illegal foreclosure process, despite not having the original mortgage. They have taken bailouts from taxpayers with impunity, and continue to give Executives exorbitant bonuses”

There is nothing “illegal” about foreclosing on those who don’t pay- I don’t care if you live here or China- EVERYONE pays, or they sleep in tents. That’s life Toots. I’m betting no one is going to foreclose on YOU, you pampered little trust fund baby. You REALLLLY want to blame someone? Go find your pervert friend, Barney Frank. HE is the one who added 500k McMansions to the Sec.8 list. The banks took the bailouts- but WHO offered them. How about you turn your energies on the government and tell them to stop picking the winners and losers. And here’s a clue for you, you idiot. In a free market, you don’t get to tell a private business who to hire and how much to pay them- IT’S NONE OF YOUR DAMN BUSINESS. Just because YOU can’t make it outside a college, doesn’t mean you get to turn that envy on others.

“They have continuously sought to strip employees of the right to negotiate for better pay and safer working conditions. They have held students hostage with tens of thousands of dollars of debt on education, which is itself a human right.”

Your unions have destroyed companies and industries. They have broken communities with their demands and violate the rights of others. Want to make a difference here? Demand the end of NATIONAL unions and educate the workers as to WHERE their union dues go- not the least of which, is the fat, bloated salaries the leadership takes for itself.
No one told these students that they HAD to take student loans- NO ONE. Now, in YOUR world of entitlement and negative personal responsibility, it might be quite ok not to pay back a loan, but it’s different in the REAL world, Bill.

The rest of your dribble is just that- the same old communist rhetoric that you people have used since 1917. What you want is a communist government where YOU thin k that YOU will hold power. Sorry to disappoint you, Sweetie- Brownshirts go first. Too bad you didn’t get your degree in history.

And here’s the TRUE rub, Bill. You have yet to face the American people. This is where you and your type truly show how little you get it. And the PEOPLE (not that collection of doped-out morons you are currently “solid” with) are beginning to re-discover the meaning of “traitor”.

I’m curious if there might be a splinter group of this protest that shows up at Yankee Stadium for tonight’s deciding game 5 between the Yankees and the Tigers.

I think we would agree that their message is incoherent because their philosophy is incoherent. It is internally contradictory and admits of factions which are antagonistic to other factions. It has no intellectual moral or philosophical integrity because it is essentially a nihilist world view.

Here’s the response I wrote to this article at the site:

“They have held students hostage with tens of thousands of dollars of debt on education, which is itself a human right.”

In other words, teachers should work for free, as should all education support personnel, because that is the only way that people can get their “right” to an education without needing to pay for it. Same with doctors, too, I suppose, since healthcare is also a “right.”

Do you people even listen to yourselves and actually stop to THINK about where prosperity comes from? Do you ever consider that prior to the implementation of free market capitalism, grinding poverty was the norm for almost everybody in the world?

Do you ever stop to notice that the new order you propose requires a grotesque concentration of government power into the hands of a relatively few powerful people, and that such power is itself corrupting of those people? Do you not get that once the power is concentrated, it will attract only the greediest, most ruthless people to its acquisition. Have you not learned the lessons of the 20th century, that without exception every economic system run by social engineering government commanders has collapsed, leaving death and ruin in their wakes?

Do you not notice that Europe, the latest great shining example of socially engineered economies, is now itself collapsing under an ocean of debt, so that only those nations willing and able to abandon such systems have any chance of surviving?

Have you noticed that no matter how greedy you may be, free market capitalism requires that you actually offer VALUE to other people in exchange for the wealth that you acquire, whereas only in government can you become wealthy without having to actually produce VALUE for others?

And as for the rest of you who aren’t Bill Ayers, do you wonder how your life and access to money will compare to his once he is part of the government ruling class and you’re not? Do you not see the similarity between Ayers’ ilk and Napoleon the pig in Orwell’s Animal Farm?

Or are you too busy only listening to other leftists telling you how smart you are for being willing to turn your individual freedom over to the state, in exchange only for poverty and your required subservience?

Are you for real?

Dohrn was actually convicted of killing at least one.

She served less than a year for refusing to testify against Susan Rosenberg. Hardly a murder conviction.
