Talk about your Monday from hell. Not only did Bridgett Nickerson Boyd's car break down on her way to work, but when she pulled over to the side of the freeway, a sheriff's deputy named Mark Goad pulled behind her, wrote her a ticket for driving on the shoulder, decided to arrest her, followed her to the hospital when her suddenly racing heart prompted a call to paramedics, then took her into custody again after she was treated by doctors and finally drove her to jail.
To make matters worse, Boyd claims in a lawsuit that the handcuffs were put on her wrists painfully tight and that she was forced to listen to conservative broadcaster Rush Limbaugh "make derogatory comments about black people" all the way to the jail. Boyd is African-American.

Exactly. I can’t get Rush on the radio up here, but when I listened to him, he never did that.
LOL! Might be worth buying a podcast (if possible) just to be able to hear this one. :)
She copped an attitude, became belligerent so he busted her.
She then got even more belligerent when she heard Limbaugh on the radio and became hyperventilated so he took her to the hospital where they found she was not ill so he took her to jail.
When the magistrate talked to her all he heard was “LIMBAUGH”, “BLACK”, “RACIST”, “LAWSUIT”, facts that were clearly indisputable so he let her go.
If I was on a highway and the car was still mobile, I'd be trying to make it to the nearest exit. I'd drive on a flat tire until the tire was shredded and the wheel was being grinded down.
It's not safe to stop on the shoulder, and should be avoided unless the car is completely disabled. In some of the metro areas, drivers are explicitly instructed to get completely off the roadway if possible.
I should say that the facts that were indisputable is that Limbaugh was on the radio and she was a black woman screaming “racism”.
According to the NAACP and the Rainbow Coalition and Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, Mr. Snerdley is just an oreo like Clarence Thomas and a racist like Herman Cain...
My God - the 8 track... It's full of Tony Orlando and Dawn!
Apparently on October 4th. /s
Yes it is, just ask Morgan Freeman or Sammy L. Jackson.
Rush should send her a thank you note for her providing some of his show prep for today.
That’s gross and disgusting - NOT funny.
It certainly is not funny, and anyone who laughs at it ought to be thrown into a small, cold cell with a big dude named Bubba. It was meant to illustrate a sad, unfortunate fact pertaining to our contemporary society, namely, that those social institutions upon which we place reliance frequently disappoint us in our expectations of the way in which those institutions are intended to function. That this is true, do not blame me, for I am only the messenger.
So, I don't have enough information to have an opinion. For example, the woman says her car was having problems - other than her word, there is no evidence this is true. Later in the article she proves she is a liar, but making ridiculous and false statements about Rush's show. So, why should I believe other statements made by this racist?
It should be easy to pull a transcript or even a recording.
They all should listen to it during the trial!!!!
Just so she can describe in detail just exactly what he said that was so derogatory.
Maybe they should run the trial for several days while they bring up several more shows to demonstrate a pattern.
That would be the greatest education anyone in that courtroom could ever receive.
That is how you know this “victim” is full of it. She did not hear what she said she heard from Rush. Maybe she was listening to Jesse Jackson.
Maybe someone is testing the waters to get rush banned if she succeeds ;) I was cracking up earlier today when I heard him talking about it.
I think the FCC requires broadcast outlets to compile logs of all of their broadcast activity. Easy to look up at each local station.
Heck, I would bet big money that the entire transcript of the show for that date would show nothing remotely racist was in Rush's show content and would easily disprove the charge. But I would be very interested in specific time periods to prove this lady is full of it.
Hee hee... we wager on the outcome of this suit here:

The charges can be dismissed because the prosecutor agreed with the judge not to pursue it. Doesn’t mean her rights violated in anyway, or all this other stuff she claiming .
