My personal favorites are:
1) Bachmann
2) Cain
3) perry
Cannot get excited about Gingrich or Santorum.
I will choose pizza over pretzels!
It is very obvious that Cain, Bachmann, Santorum, and everyone else except may be Gingrich are acting as attack dogs for Romney against Perry as it is has been very evident since Perry entered the race. They are all hoping that if Romney is the nominee he will pick one of them as VP.
Please do not be fooled by the red meat conservative candidates as they are all working for Romney.
Folks, we need to wake up for this obvious reality before it is too late and Romney is the nominee.
i feel like i’ve been punched in the gut- i just came in from work and found out sarah isnt running- i dont care who wins anymore- screw it
Are you saying Parry/Cain?
Could do worse.
I like Perry over Bachmann and Cain.
Bachmann needed to convince me that a congresman could be president.. She didn’t. Cain is a big risk. He has no public record to look at. Business skills and leadership are fine and dandy, but not enough for me.
I can live with Perry’s issues... Good governor...bad debater, but a good governor.
I should add that despite our preferences or hopes, I still believe, and always have believed, that Romney will be our eventual nominee.
I agree. I don’t see any way that he gets traction. He should get a cabinet position, IMHO.
Cane-for President, Newt for VP, Mitt for Sec. of Treasury, Bolton for Sec. of state, Perry needs to stay in Texas, so Bachmann needs to stay in Congress. Sarah Palin needs to run for Senate!
I know he has made some big mistakes in the campaign and I don't agree with him on a couple issues, however...
He is rock solid pro-life, pro-family, and pro-gun. He got a world class tort reform bill passed and has been good for the business climate in the state.
Texas is far from a liberal state and he has been elected Governor 3x.
He beat everyone in the campaign money race last quarter and did it in 49 days, not the full 90 others had.
Nobody is going to knock Romney out without being able to raise a ton of money, Perry can and the others can't.
Perry is easily the best of the rest.
Of those three, Michele Bachmann is the only tea party candidate.
God bless you. 2012 may be the last chance for a whole bunch of us. Freedom is never more than one generation from extinction. Obama must go. And he can’t be replaced by Obama-lite.
...and also the first BLACK American. Obama is our first mixed-race president.
Me, too. Doesn't change my (tentative) opinion.
Cain had Stage IV colon cancer in 2006, and is going to be 66 years old in December. Bachmann is, and always has been in my opinion, a flake. Perry is a fraud who will never, never survive a long campaign.
You go to war with the army you have. I'm not SURE about Newt, just leaning.
That’s my big problem. I’m not really too keen on these options. Bachman really lost me during this campaign, making too many dunderheaded moves. The most idiotic thing was when she went blabbing on tv after talking to some stranger who claimed the vaccination made her kid retarded. Dang, you just don’t go on national-tv and repeat some story as fact that a stranger just told you. Bachman just kept repeatedly going off the deep-end too many times for me to feel comfortable with (even though her voting record is admittedly fine).
Perry has been my governor for a dozen years, and each year I’ve become more and more disgusted with him. I hate to say I ‘loathe’ the guy, but it’s really getting to that point. He’s absolutely horrid on the illegals situation, and exemplifies the kind of ‘professional politician’ I hate. Even if he’s better than Romney, the thought of him being the nominee makes me sick to my stomach.
Cain, thus, seems to be the most acceptable option to me, but I really don’t have much confidence in him. No governing history whatsoever, and a pretty dodgey health background. I’ve also been pretty disappointed how he’s let the media constantly lure him down the garden-path, and it seems to portend a very potential doom somewhere down the line, when a big issue pops up.
Pretty damn grim. Situation seems even worse than 2008. I’ve really developed a serious hatred for the GOP in the last few years. And I’m saying that as someone who has voted exclusively GOP my entire life, never wavering once.
Cain, Cain and Cain.
There’s a number of good VP choices that would be excellent complements to him (but no RINOs).
Bachmann — too many recent problems
Perry — disaster looms in campaign debates
Cain is my favorite by a long shot! My hubby says TPTB will use his cancer against him. I’m not sure how effective their scare tactics will be this go around though......
Blessings to you and your fighting spirit!
