My personal favorites are:
1) Bachmann
2) Cain
3) perry
Cannot get excited about Gingrich or Santorum.

I would have to support Cain, it’s time we had someone
with executive/business experience in the oval office.
I would take Gingrich in a second before Perry. I’d take Romney before Perry.
One would expect that Palin’s supporters would go to Cain, Bachmann and Paul. Right now, because Cain is doing well, I would expect many of Palin’s supporters to support Cain, and then see how he does. When he starts answering questions again with “I’ll think about that and then answer” or whatever it was he said after every non softball question in the 2nd debate, he’ll lose those people, and those people will look at the other candidates.
Perry does have money. Yes, Perry is the worst. I’d say worse than Romney. But he does have money to spend. So, that’s a factor.

NO WAY to Mitt. Just NO FREEPIN’ WAY! As a voter, my single biggest issue is the 2A. End of story. Also, on many other issues Romney just doesn’t came remotely close to passing the smell test.
Ron Paul???? A freeper would have be certifiable to even CONSIDER voting for this a$$clown. Ron Paul/Dennis the Menace 2012. Yep. Just the ticket we need.
Newt? He has so much baggage he should apply at United Airlines. Global Warming?? Good grief, Newt.
MB? Although I like her message, she has put her foot in her mouth far too often. Her support has weakened to around Ron Paul levels. I think her campaign is not far from the end. I also think that she would be unelectable in a general election vs. Barry.
Rick? Again, his overall message seems ok, but seems to have lost a lot of traction in the debates. And he too is probably a very, very long shot in a general election vs. Barry. Probably not far behind (or even a bit ahead) of MB in getting out of the race.
Perry?????? Not a chance. Ever. My son happens to be a Border Patrol agent currently stationed on the Texas/Mexico boarder. Let’s see. We’ve got the current Obambi administration (via F&F) shipping enough AK’s to the Mexican drug cartel’s to arm a small army. There sits our son, doing his duty of patrolling that shathole of a border day after day, trying to stop that poison from entering this country, armed with... His duty issue .40S&W H-K handgun! Seems like a fair fight. Then comes mushmouth Perry who states he doesn’t want any border fences and anyone who thinks otherwise is “heartless”. Rick Perry couldn’t get my vote if he ran un-opposed.
Cain? I like his message very much (as it seems a lot of freepers do). If he can get the nomination, he will certainly have my vote. But I am not sold for two reasons. Experience and electablity. After all the fuss the GOP raised last election about Obama’s lack of credentials, do you think that there is no way the LMSM is not going to point this out daily about Cain? Also, the few libs I do know say that would more than welcome a Cain-Barry general election. Still, he has the best message of those remaining, and again, gets my vote in a general election.
As a Palin supporter, I am not really sure where I will turn. And, as others have stated, it may well come down to who Sarah endorses. The fate of the GOP may still be in her hands.
As if it makes any difference.... by the time my state's primary comes round the whole thing will have been settled. :-(
Romney = Third-party conservative run and the end of the GOP, regardless who wins.
Yep, the next few debates will tell a lot. We should see some shifting in the poll numbers now that Christie and Palin are definitely not running and the field is pretty much set.

Romney 2012 would be just as disastrous as McCain 2008 only worse. Conservatives could not get excited about RINO McCain and they’ll even be more disgusted with abortionist, gay rights pushing, gun-grabbing, global warming advocating, left of Kennedy socialist healthcare pushing, draft-dodging, lying progressive RINO Romney.
At least McCain was a war hero and was pro-life.
Should the GOP go progressive with Romney, the GOP will get what it will then deserve. A sound thrashing. And then it’ll probably go belly up for lack of support.

Rubio also made an announcement today that he won’t accept VP. So that’s Christie, Palin, Rubio out of the mix. I can’t believe anyone is still considering Bachmann, or that she will survive to the IA caucuses, or be chosen for the VP slot.
As of now, I like Cain and Perry. Wish (as I’m sure he does) Perry had never made that unfortunate remark in the last debate, but think he can survive it if he strengthens his debating skills. Now at least he won’t be the ONLY target at future debates. He also has to clarify that because he endorses the in-state tuition for ‘undocumented’ students, that does NOT mean he’s ‘open borders.’ Some folks aren’t big on picking up subtlety. Cain’s made a few boneheaded comments, too. So that will all even out over time.
I’m wondering if Newt has adequately rehabilitated his reputation to be considered for VP? Everyone, right or left, acknowledges the guy is brilliant; his grasp of history and big issues, and how they converge into policy, is amazing. I don’t see him getting the nomination, but would be a fascinating VP.
Interesting times ahead.

Based on some of your comments on this thread, I believe you were actually asking a deeper question than who has best chance of winning the "Republican" nomination. It really is a question of which "conservative" has the best shot of knocking out both Romney and Obama in a general election.
JimRob you have in fact asked the crucial question in this election, which gets to the survival of a two-party system, if both parties have candidates that represent the same values.
Given that perspective, I suspect that many who have responded above might re-consider their suggestions.
I know I would certainly have to give it considerable thought if we are talking about who would be the most likely to win in a three-way race.

Getting rid of the EPA should be priority #1.
No other agency has the power to do the damage to America that they are currently doing.
If the EPA cannot be abolished, it can still be emasculated. And this can be done without the stroke of congressional pens. All it takes is an “executive with attitude”, so to speak.
Just sayin’...
