I can’t blame her, I wouldn’t want the job either. How about RNC Chairman?

People who are miserable today at this news: trust me, this was ordained the day she resigned the Alaskan governorship, and I was despondent the day that happened for this very reason.
I hate the scum that launched baseless lawsuits against her. Hate. From the bottom of my heart.

and to think of the 1000’s of hours MSNBC wasted making her look as pathetic and brainless as Keith Oldbermann. I can remember when Chrissy devoted about 20 minutes of his program discussing the likely-hood of a PALIN vs BLOOMBERG race in 2012. I couldn’t stop laughing. {the,,,YAH, RIGHT,reaction}

Aww, crap. I really hoped that she would run. I respect her decision, but I wish that we had a well-spoken candidate running for president.
So now it’s up to Herman Cain. Go Herman!

A lot of people are talking about what they want, but what is more important to anyone is what you want or need for yourself and your family. Looks like the field is in front of us, time to get to work with what we have.
In war as in life, it is often necessary when some cherished scheme has failed, to take up the best alternative open, and if so, it is folly not to work for it with all your might. - Sir Winston Churchill.

I guess I am sending Herman Cain a check tonight.
I will not vote for Mitt Romney for President. Flame me that I am electing Obama, but I do not trust the guy. Flip on Abortion, guns, Health care (post of FR today supported mandates in 2007), trade policy is stupid and he will continue to support crony capitalism.

Brokenhearted. Disappointed.
But ready to move forward to support the most conservative candidate...whoever that is.

How is it that I’m equal parts disappointed and relieved? Ah, Sarah, what might have been. At least she’ll still play kingmaker (guaranteed, don’t doubt it).

That was her choice. She may not have wanted to deal with the opprobrium which would have been her and her family’s lot for the next thirteen months.
I am saddened too, because I think she got more things right in total than any of the existing plausible candidates. I doubt that her views, however wise, will influence any contrary leanings by guys such as Perry and Cain.
But she probably intends to get involved in lower level politics, which would have been unseemly for a presidential candidate. Not everything in the country hinges totally upon the president. Governors, senators, representatives, they all matter.
