I LOVE that ad, and I loved the part of his townhall when he said “the proudest day of my life was the day I put on the uniform of my country”.
And that's "doesn't sound like small donations from a great swath of people like from you" to you?
Odd is an understatement.
**your state refuses to stop illegals from coming in, or the feds and special interests paid for by your lobbyists to turn a blind eye, your Governor sides with the illegals, **
Let’s go step by step here:
He has not refused to stop illegals. What he has done is send in Texas Rangers while at the same time continuously calling on the Feds to give him the help he needs. Even to the point of meeting Obama on the tarmac with a written request because he couldn’t get it through any other way. (This is on video, by the way.)
If by siding with the illegals you are talking about the in-state tuition, I agree, I do not like that bill either. However to say “your Governor” as if he was the only one wanting it is just simply niave. 97% of the Texas legislation voted for it. “The Governor” has said, this should be decided at the state level and I am fine with that.
**, and cries foul when the other 49 states say no thanks.**
Washington, California, Utah, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, Illinois, Wisconsin, and New York have all voted in the same thing. Do I agree with it? No, but please get your facts straight first.
Why are wealthy donors suddenly suspect? If this was any other candidate, people would be jumping up and down. I just don’t understand why Perry is held to different rules then everybody else.
You sound like you’re jealous of Texas.

Link to a report on recent active taking place on the border by Perry's Texas Rangers Recon Teams
WESLACO Answering a smattering of gunshots with a 300-round barrage should show drug runners - their inflatable rafts full of illegal contraband - that Texas law enforcement officers aren't messing around, authorities said.
He said a single shot against a U.S. law enforcement officer is "one too many."
"We are going to use overwhelming force. We're going to use tactics ... You shoot a law enforcement officer, you're going to get return fire," he said. snip....
A Freeper who lives in the valley, has said thank God for Governor Perry. IF it wasn't for his actions we'd been over run and killed by now by the drug cartel. Freeper said...those blacks hawks come so low over our house they rip the shingles right off our roof. .
This is the fence the feds have built.
Eh, just look at the vitrol spilled against Reagan in the 1980 primaries.
Of course he's jealous. He's paying in all those union dues and watching all the jobs moving to Texas.
This site is not a Romney-friendly site - so I guess they cant come right out & say that they are shilling for Romney.
You can say that again. I predict a number of mitten's supporters well be getting the zot here. I know Jim Rob warned a couple of them this week.
Heat, drought, and illegals. No thanks, I’ll pass on that.
That’s a good example. Another good example of a conservative being held to different rules for being conservative is Palin. ;)
My state has had all three of those this year too and I don’t live in Texas.
Thanks for posting that pic Shield. I had not seen that “picket fence”. LOL
Perception is everything, and the perception is that the majority of illegals coming into the midwest come in through Texas. The illegals up here won’t say, but the Texas license plates are a dead give away.
Nobody’s arguing with that. I totally agree.
Michigan has its share of problems, too. But if you’re looking for a job Texas is the place to be until we replace Obama with someone who knows how to get the country working again.
Well, then maybe perry can use that 17.1 mil to militarize the Texas border. Or more than likely he will use it run for president so he can force his open border policy on the rest of us.
Um, it’s donations for a Presidential campaign sooooo, yep. Would be kinda fraudulent to spend it on anything else. That is of course taking your comment seriously.
